Do our lives revolve around Coasterbuzz?

Do our lives revolve around Casterbuzz?

I know this sounds weird but, for me, most of the time it does. It is one of the only sites I visit while on the net and I always have a coasterbuzz window open. Even when i'm in school, I think of ideas for new topics on Coasterbuzz. I feel sad if nobody replies to my topics and happy if a lot of people do. It's like I don't want to fail or something like that. Anyone else like this?

well I don;t think your description convey;s obsession or having you life revolve around this place. I would feel bad about spending a lot of time here.

All at once the ghosts come back reeling you in now.

Manic, I am with you bud. Every day I get on here and I always leave a CB window open. If CB had its own Messanger I would have it.
Usually I come for news, look to the bottom for the newest topics, and see if any of them interest me. If so I look at them and reply or just read, and if not I usually move on.

Whenever I am really bored, I look at the forums and just go through topics, or I look at the old SFO forums, those are entertaining.

Coasterbuzz revolves around my den life. If I'm in my den, and not playing RCT, I'm probably here. Of course, I multitask and sometimes play RCT and surf CB ;) Accually not, I might surf this site and another site, or chat with friends and surf this site at the same time.

Although, if CB is going slow, I get impatient and do the unthinkable, close the CB window!

Wow. I don't want to offend you, but that seems kinda... sad. I can understand the general feeling of wanting to be liked and accepted, but you may want to consider and pursue the idea of a personal life.

Anyway, yes, I do enjoy CoasterBuzz, but my life doesn't revolve around it. I enjoy checking out all the new topics and learning new coaster-related stuff, but I'm not on the site nearly as much as I used to be. I still like to visit daily, but now that school has arrived, I am much busier and rareley home. I don't go through the topics as thouroughly as I used to, I just check out the ones that catch my attention.

It's a hobby, not a carrer.

(Edit: Did that last comment make sense?)

I for one agree with Jeff.

There are other things to do then surf CB.

For me it's school, and homework :(

I don't think our lives revolve around Coasterbuzz, I just think Coasterbuzz plays a very important park of our internet life. I visit this site everyday, but not to the point of checking at school, checking when ever I have free time, and checking just when ever I am online.

I would not say that my life revolves around this site, but part of my life revolves around coasters.  This site just happens to be a great way to learn and discuss about coasters.  But I have too much other stuff to occupy myself with to think about this site or coasters all the time, like my schoolwork, my fraternity, the Browns (what a bummer loss today), and my friends, who except maybe for one, are not even close to being enthusiasts.  But coasters and amusement parks are in my opinion the best thing I can occupy my free time with!

i do alot more then just come here while i'm on the net, i usually have a window open with it all the time while i'm on but i have like 5 different windows open all the time.

I do think there is an addictive quality to Coasterbuzz, especially the part about seeing if people have responded to your post or trip report. That's one of the reasons I've decided to limit my time more strongly on CB this fall. I have an album to finish, and it's not going to get finished by reading and/or responding to more repetitive forums like "Coasters that need paintjobs". I'll let the new members have those discussions.

I think CB is important in my life, but not just my life. I do other things like ride coasters, school, and praying to God that they bring the Sky Whirl and Tidal Wave back and never touch the Triple Play.
Just curious, do any of you guys sleep up there?

my life does, but that's only because I'm in college and haven't learned how to use my free time.  I have a bunch of other sites that I check out, but this is the one that I always come back to because there's always something new (forums).  this will probably end when I realize that I'm tired or that there is a party.  but for now...

Coasterbuzz is a great site, but there are a lot of other good sites out there. If you feel sad that no one answers your topics, then you need a life or better yet a gf/bf(depending on your sexuality).

Go to a gym, or soemthing.. Don't make the net your life..

CB is simply an extension of the coaster hobby. In fact, liking coasters should be just a hobby and not your life, unless of course you work in the industry. I can say I've never had my life revolve around a site, but I was attached to one once. Then back in May it shut down adruptly and for good too. I just learned to move on
-----------------
Talking about coasters in general, is becoming less and less important to me. I don't post too much anymore unless the topics are fresh. But it's the people here that keep me coming to coasterbuzz. People here are much more informed and generally more positive about our hobby. So I usually stop by twice a day.
