I've been going to the Park since 1968 and in the hundereds of times I've ridden the Tea Cups, both as a kid and with my own, the only real danger I've worried about is having someone throw-up and flinging a mess around. I've heard of it happening a few times and I'm sure that's the real "safety" concern here.

I prefer they'd thought of some kind of deadman braking system for too many rpm's at a certian duration. I'll be going again soon and report back. BTW, I'm one of those guys who would use boths hands on one side working it up to around 45 rpms.
