Disney Cruise Line offered a preview of its next ship, the Disney Wish, in a half-hour preview video today. The ship is still under construction, but booking begins in May, with the first sailing in June 2022. The ship will include the operators first "attraction at sea," a heavily themed water coaster based on the modern Mickey Mouse shorts called Aqua Mouse. Video begins at the relevant part:

I dunno, I know they're employees, but I feel like there's something deeper than that. And no, I've never encountered strippers who I thought liked me. 😂

That's funny. I totally get what you are saying though. I have met plenty of cruisers who plan their trips around what ship an employee is on because of the service they received. While they see thousands a guests on their contracts, you do get to know them pretty well over the course of a 5, 7, 10+ day cruise. On our last Royal cruise our level allowed us to eat at whatever time we wanted in any of the dinning rooms as opposed to a set time. On our first night we were so blown away by our server that we requested her each night. After one night she knew us well and it was impressive. Between when we checked in to being walked to our table, which ended up being the same each night despite our arrival time being unknown to them, she had all of our preferred drinks ready at our table. I'll never forget Karolina.

...Tiana's Place with live music, and that's easily the best of any of the venues (if a little loud).

Despite not enjoying how DCL does dinner, I absolutely loved Tiana's Place. I got to eat there a couple times while the Wonder did some test cruises after dry dock and after those experiences I didn't want to do any other dinning room while on the trip. I think about that place often.

I actually took a Zoom meeting from the floor of Yosemite Valley two weeks ago. There’s a tower somewhere that gives strong reception in the most popular spots. The rest of the park was basically a wasteland.

I think you were talking about cellular service, but as stated it's a pretty harsh assessment of Yosemite.

NCL seems like the line I would go with. I was one click away from booking a cruise with them a few years ago and forget why I decided against it. If I enjoy it even more than I expect I would love to try DCL as a second cruise but I just really feel like I want a casino onboard as an insurance policy against a not so fun time.

I am just old enough to remember when only rich people cruised so it is something I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid. It was only over the last fifteen years or so that I realized that people like me can cruise, too.

I go into every trip I take expecting to have a good time and approaching it like it’s the last/only time you’ll get to do it or go there. I put a lot of thought into almost every trip and just spent three weeks researching and deciding between Reno, upstate New York, Biloxi and Des Moines, Iowa (Biloxi won). But for a cruise I have gotten so many varying opinions that it’s been really difficult to pull the trigger.

Thanks for the input to everyone here so far. I’ve enjoyed reading all of it.

I've only been on Carnival, once for my honeymoon in 2004 and once a year later that wasn't planned, but a "friend" of ours gave us an opportunity we couldn't pass up: a 5-night Southern Caribbean cruise with a balcony room for $600. Yeah, Carnival may be the Walmart of cruises, but never having cruised before and being in my early 30s they were fantastic. My honeymoon trip was one of the most stress-free weeks I've ever experienced. The second was great, but we left with some sage advice: don't spend a week on a boat with someone you don't know very well. We definitely got to know her better that week; we never spoke again after we left the ship.

Yes. I was specifically referring to cell service. The park was gorgeous and the probably one of the most spectacular places I've ever been. We hit it during peak waterfall season and it was astounding.
