Disney and B&M

I'm not actually sure if this is truth or merely another coaster legend, but is it true that Bolliger and Mabillard will not work with Disney?

Obviously, there is not a B&M coaster at any of Disney's parks worldwide, yet Disney has worked with every other major manufacturer (Arrow, Vekoma, Intamin).

Now chances are, Disney would never have any need for a Stand-up or Floorless coaster, but B&M does offer a lot more than just those two models.

it is just some stupid rumor, if disney wanted a 200 foot invert and mailed B&M a fat check for 10mill i dont think B&M would tell them that their money is no good, its simple buisness. Disney just has no need for any coasters like that at its park. And all of the other companies you mentioned, make other rides besides intense coasters. Come on man think before you speak

Don't ever talk to me (or anyone else on this board) like that. You are the one who wanted a 20 post thread summarized for you. Personally, I could see Disney getting a themed inverted coaster if they were willing (or B&M) was willing to design one. It wouldn't be any more "extreme" than California Screamin', Rock N' Roller Coaster or Space Mountain in Paris.

you wanna make something of it? how old are you man like 20? and you must not have to much smarts ither if you dident realize that my last thread was pure sarcasm and california screamin and rock N roller coaster and space mountain have 2 huge differences then any coaster B&M has built.....ill let you figure them out

I doubt that there would be any kind of mis-communication between them. It's never been brought up before, but I think that this might turn into a "coaster contract" rumor.

djhush - Your little comment "come on man think before you speak" was rather unneccesary. He just had a question, so why not give an answer? Besides, do YOU know if B&M doesn't do stuff for Disney? If you don't, then why say "think before you speak"?

Djhush- calm down, and try and stop flaming everyone in sight. No one likes a troll.

On to more mature discussion, I thought I had heard the same about DAK getting a flying coaster. But then again, at this point I see IOA getting one long before Disney.

I am certainly not stating anything here as fact, since I haven't had the chance to talk with Walter, Claude or Michael Eisner lately. ;) I just think its an interesting coincidence that no B&M has ever shown up in a Disney park to date.

LOL laurence, ain't it the truth!

I could see some highly themed ride at Disney World or Land, and a B&M flyer would fit good. But I still think Disney need to make at least one park where they throw in some of their excellent theming, and some world class coasters too. I'm not talking about IOA, but a new Disney park. A flyer at Animal Kingdom would be cool though.

i personally dont see what reason B&M have for not wanting to supply a ride to disney, there must be some reason! could it be that disney dont have manufacturer plates anywhere on any of their rides and B&M dont agree with this?

Maybe that is it. Of course who knows if B&M actually cares about having manufacturer's plates on the ride. Maybe they do...

It brings to mind the restraints on Maliboomer (S&S Space Shot) withuot S&S imprinted on the OTSR.

...and california screamin' doesnt have the usual intamin plates on every car

I'm sure B&M would not mind not having their name printed on a ride if it was specifically requested by the park.

As for a flyer at a Disney park I could see it happening. Air was designed for people of all ages and I'm sure they could do the same with a Disney ride to appeal to the Disney crowd.

"Enjoy your voyage to the sun on the wings of Apollo's Chariot"

Don't you have to be at least 54" for a B&M flyer?

Air at alton towers has the same height restriction as the parks B&M inverted which is 1.4m, but i dont know what that is in inches. it would just be the same restriction as a B&M inverted though, i should think

I personally think Disney should make an Xtreme Park, which would attract even more people to Disney Land/World. It would have them big coasters for parents and teens. They have Paradise Island...=/

Disney is smart and stupid at the same time. They need more stuff for older people, not just for the kiddies.
