Discovery Chan names hulk #1 for New show may27 8p

Hulk #1 don't make me laugh. The ride is nothing after the second inversion. Like Kick The Sky said you can cheat and have your favorite coaster win. Hulk would be #1 on the most over rated coaster of all time with X in second. Dont get me wrong when I rode X it was great but not the Second Comming of Jesus Christ like everyone said it was.

Hulk is not even in my top 10. This poll is for those who go to Florida as their only exposure to amusement parks, see this big green steel monster launch very quickly and call it number one. By this poll, Rock n' Roller coaster should be number 2.

After they ranked Superman:Ride of Steel at SFNE #16 last year, and under #14 Superman:Ride of Steel at SFA, I was so furious I could choke on my pizza. What is S:ROS at Six Flags New England doing at #16 and well below Magnum at no less. I'll give Millenium Force the edge, but Magnum makes #1 and S:ROS get #16?!! Don't make me barf!!!

Millennium Force2K2, you shouldn't use religious comparisons like that becuase not only is it contriversal, but many people take it very seriously and others are offended. Something or someone that is the basis of many people lifes should not be used as a punch line though I understand what you're saying,

Isnt it ironic im comparing a ride to the movie of which a ride next to hulk is based.

I believe the 2nd place woodie is SOB, which is what Shaggy was referring to, because he did a taping on SOB in which one of his lines were "HELLOOOOOO JAPAN!"

Gotcha. I wasn't judging the local of Regina. I've heard nothing but great things. Regardless of the park, it is not as well known over here, and if a Japanese woodie got recognition over here, it would probably be WC since it's located at the "cedar Point" of Japan.

Last year they had the poll separate than the top 10 from Amusement Today. Will it be the same this year, or will it have the rated ones featured? I was looking foward to see SROS.

Legendary, I think you're right in that SOB was placed at number 2 on the Discovery list. I'm not the least bit surprised either since it is one of the most visited wooden coasters. ;)

I still can't believe how extremely differing the opinions are about it. Most either love it or hate it. I don't find it rough, painful, or boring. I would say it was my number 2 woodie as well... not under The Beast though. Did The Legend make the list? :)

HurricaneGeauga, please don't tell me you liked Freddy Got Fingered! That was probably the worst movie of 2001 although if you said it was Glitter, I would agree with that as well. = ^ p

I agree that The Hulk isn't a top 10 coaster. The launch is excellent and the first half is decent, but like many have said, it really drags in the latter areas of the ride. I still love it though even if I think Kraken and Fire Dragon are the better Florida steel coasters.

OutKast, yes you are the only person. Just kidding! While almost are the reviews were overwhelmingly positive and Spiderman broke almost every record out there(thank goodness for knocking out Harry Potter!), some people were probably disappointed with it, especially after the first weekend hype.

I was impressed overall and thought that the emotional scenes were really done well as opposed to other super hero-esque films where the main focus was action. I think the positive word of mouth is what is making it so big at the box office.

When I rode Hulk for the first time in 1999, I was kind of disappointed in the ending. But when I took two spins on it this past March, it really seemed to fly. It seemed much faster and more intense through the finally. Also, I remember a really fun, twisted dive, that I think came after the second vertical loop. Plus I can't get enough of that barrel roll. Insane!

OutKast:I disliked the ending quite a bit, but the rest didn't seem that bad. I always seem to have different opinions than Ebert...

If your offended by that your a cry baby. Oh well if it controversial, everyone seems to get bent out of shape over everything, so they dub it "Controversial." This enables they not to have to deal with until they are forced to deal with the reality of it. Bottom line is people take offense to easily. (some people are even offended by improper grammar/spelling)

Did I say whether I was offended or not. That's not the issue. The issue is that you do not joke about something that is the basis of many peoples' lives. I don't care whether you're Christian or not, you still do not joke about someones religion. Same with being a homosexual or minority, don't joke around about someones lifestyle or race. There is a difference between a minor offense and the spread of prejudicy.

Well I thought Hulk was fun but no where near Dueling Dragons (if my name shows any hint), especially fire. To me, hulk is not #1 material for steel now but when i first rode it back in 99 i thought it was incredible. Now, hulk is still good, but many more coasters are better.

X ISNT ON THE LIST

why is X not on the list, for those of us who have ridden it know it is the GREATEST coaster to date, except for the line, but there is always fast lane.

I love the way enthusiasts seem to think because they don't like a coaster, everyone else is suppose to hate it as well, and no one has the right to vote it #1. Obviously someone loves the ride, there isn't a coaster you could place in the #1 position that some wouldn't call "overrated". If it's a good ride, than it can just as well be a top choice as any other coaster. Jeez, you'd think we were talking about Flashback. ;)

X opened too late for this poll. Good thing too, otherwise people would start in on it too.

Except the people who saw it on the eighteen different shows it appeared on last year. ;) I still don't know why it got SO much press while rides that were more innovative like stealth or hypersonic barely got any.
