I was a coaster fanatic at a very young age. I can remember a time when I was very young, sitting on the Whizzer with my dad. He strapped the seatbelts on tightly. I clamped my hands into his knees even more tightly. We started out of the station, and I clamped even more tightly. As we got to the end of the ride, I felt my dad check to see if he had kneecaps anymore. Then, the question... "Did you like it?" In a very loud, positive voice, I replied "Yep." He then countered: "Do you want to go on it again?" "Nope." Was my reply. I'm not sure how young I was, but I must have been old enough to go on Tidal Wave, because I remember Mom dragging me on that ride. Kicking and screaming. Literally. I survived. Well, then on to the Demon. I was a brave lad at that point. So brave that I didn't even notice the theming. Maybe because I was kicking and screaming, and trying to bribe my parents into letting me "sit this one out." Looking back, I remember the ride. Feeling like I was going to fall out. Eyes closed. My Dad was grateful that I didn't have my hands on his now swollen knee caps. My point is this. I was young, and impressionable. I don't remember the theming. Heck, I didn't even know what theming was.
*shrug. I guess being 8 wasn't all that bad.

"Getting on Iron Wolf is kind of like going in a blender and pressing PUREE"
You are young du8die. I still clearly remember when Whizzer had NO seatbelts in it. Anyways about the song. Anyone ride this year and hear that they were playing the end part of the song, the part with the speaking and how terrible it sounded? We should start a letter writing campaign for them to at least fix that to start :)
Anyhoo, stoogeman can you send me a copy as well. I loved this ride when it was in it's prime and it pains me to see what it has become. And ride related it still has one of the most airtime filled drops out there.
Cheers,

Ahh yes. Another Marriott creation that has fallen to the wayside.
1. The mist that used to fill the tunnel right out of the station house.
2. The buzzing sound that was piped into the tunnel out of the station house.
3. The streaming light display that used to cover the whole tunnel after the second loop (now only the lower half is lit up)
4. The blood red waterfall that spewed out of the rock formation demons mouth going into the corkscrews.
5. The erie piped in sound that emitted from the rock formation demon.
6. The original Demon sign up front with the glowing red eyes gleaming through a cage with blood in front.
7. All of this theming experienced during the nighttime hours because the ride is not lit up except for the above lights mentioned.
8. Hearing the Demon music while waiting in line.
Its a shame but the higher ups at Six Flags figure its not worth doing anymore.
"Bring back the original DEMON experience"
