Demon "theme song" needed

After numerous failed attempts to get the Demon theme music and queue track from SFGAm and audiogalaxy.com, I am forced to ask fellow buzzers to help. I know a couple of you have it on CD, so please contact me if you can get me a copy. It should be the full 20 minute audio production, which has been featured at SFGAm's Demon since it opened. Whether Calif's GA had the music too, I do not know.

This music is necessary to accompany my working model which will recreate the ride and its "original" theming (including the light effects and glowing eyes in the entrance drain pipe). Some of the staff at SFGAm is aware of my project, and gave me the thumbs up! But they claimed to only have parts of the songs.....I have a hard time believing that. Now they just play clips from it in the station, but it used to blare through the entire queue as you waited. I do not need the SW Scaritory stuff, just the Demon. Thanks a million!

Wow this brings back memories. I remember the first time I rode the Demon back in '81 that this song actually made me fear the ride even more! I noticed that they basically took the end part of the track to use on the tunnel now. I don't know what is wrong with their copy of the song or the speakers but it sounded like a lot of "white" noise. But now that I think it you can hear that "pulsing" sound when they send you out from the station into the tunnel. I wish they would bring back the whole song and play it in the queue like they used to. It actually added a lot to the ride experience.

Unfortunately I'm too young to have experienced that.. but I'm sure it would have scared the poo out of me! Glad I could help! =)
Scared the poo outta me! It was a unique part of the ride experience, and really got your nerves tangled by the time you reached the train. When you assign a story to something, it really takes on a personality. This is why Demon all but died when half the theming was removed. It would mean the world to me to see them bring it all back, glowing eyes in the pipe and everything! Now it gets little respect from people, and the axle incident a couple years back doesn't help. Don't worry, that won't happen on mine! :)

This is so awesome!!! For somebody who was not even alive when the Demon was in its prime, this evidence that the park once actually cared about this ride is really cool. The theme song will breathe new life into the ride for me, and the visualization of the theming would rejuvenate this ride.

I say we should form a group to try to get Six Flags to, at the very least, play this theme song again. If we all would write to Six Flags, they could not ignore us for long. Though I know that SF has much more to do than simply our bidding, I feel that these adjustments would give the ride new life for all guests, especially for the children. The music has a childish- Scooby Doo (TM) sound to it. SF would be well-advised to do this, in my opinion.

You sure are right about the Scooby Doo sound!

Wow!, that really brings alot of thoughts of the Demon! It's really weird that they don't play it anymore. I wish they would it would bring back the scary feeling to it!

The music is on the way to you Arrow Guy! Let's all start a petition drive to get the theming back on this ride! It's really too bad that Six Flags had to bow down to a few religious fanatics and remove the original theming. Why SF could even maybe just bring back the song and have maybe a video playing on the kiosks. I'm sure that if we all stick together, we can get SF to see how much we love this ride and get it back on "track". Let's do it!

Wow. I am moved by all of you who remember this ride in its finest hour, and those of you who want to see what all the fuss is about! Like I said, theming turns a ride into an experience. I am religious myself, but I do not see anything wrong with what Great America had......it's just a ride for cryin' out loud! The glowing eyes may have scared some kids, but still, that's nothing compared to the 80' tall dinosaur at PKI's HB land! Seriously, it wasn't any worse than promotions I have seen for new rides. The box for Sonny scared kids when it growled and shook. It was temporary, but not to those who only visited once. Look at PGA's Demon. It still has all of it's theming, though I do not know if it ever had the eyes at the entrance.

If a petition is needed, then count me in. I do not live close enough to present this idea in person, even though I mention it every time I am there. Seems like everyone I talk to knows what I am talking about, and agrees. But it has to clear staff that are higher up, and they must be willing to make the changes. I know there are enthusiasts that work there, and even though it isn't 1983, they would like to see it restored. It has lost attention over the last few years, and I would love to see long lines for it again. I'm not asking them to change the ride (that's already happened once!), just make it more memorable. Granted, Bull is fantastic, and Whizzer is just about all that's left of the original SFGAm. But Demon used to be so much more than what it is now. I doubt if they would restore the topmost row of lights in the tunnel without raising it. But the music, flames on the station and cars, 3-D logo on the car noses, drain pipe at the entrance (which may just be covered up), and red water would bring this baby back to life. It's not much of a difference, so it shouldn't be to hard to redo.

We can't have "Demon" theming, yet we can have people with chopped-off heads, blood and guts, etc. walking around at Fright Fest???

Something doesn't seem right here...

"Getting on Iron Wolf is kind of like going in a blender and pressing PUREE"

Good point. They should have no reason not to do the theming-- I mean they already have the infrastructure in place-- tvs could broadcast the music, and I'm sure it wouldn't take much to do the rest...
That Demon song is great. They should still play it! I really dislike the talking at the end though, but the song itself is funny. :)
