Avalanche - no where near done. At least three large sections of supports and track still to be built and no steel rails have been laid [at least not that we could see]. I don't see this opening anytime before July 4th but that's just a guess on my part. Lots of heavy banking on the turns and lots of hills...could be very fun!
Hades - The only structure built so far is the turn around, which sits on one end of a VERY long tunnel. The footers for this turn are complete. They start and end at the far end of the tunnel, which runs under the parking lot and is indeed wide enough for two sets of tracks [sorry, Nate...you're wrong].
The two ends of the tunnel looks to be about 500-700 feet apart but because the parking lot has been freshly paved it's impossible to tell what happens between both ends. Trains will travel down the first drop, which we guessed to be near/next to Zeus' out run, travel thru the tunnel, up into the turn around, then drop BACK thru the same tunnel again and out the end you entered.
The turn around looks to be about 90 feet high, so in order for trains to have enough speed to make it thru the tunnel and up and over the turnaround the first will would have to be in the 130-foot range [again, just a guestimate on my part]. There are no footers built for any other portion of Hades other than the turn although a large area of trees has been cleared along Zeus.
Say Moosh, Did you take any pictures? If so let us all know when ya get 'em posted. *** Edited 6/8/2004 3:26:49 PM UTC by beast7369***

who wants to see Nate call Chuck a liar just to see the little troll get pummeled afterwards :)
Let's all take bets ...

Edit: I also find it interesting to ponder who is the real troll - people who disagree with someone on a message board or people who purposely watch for someone to post to pick it apart.
And Brett, if you're going to try to insult me, or whatever, at least get the material right. I never said anything about a paint scheme making me want to throw up. Try again. *** Edited 6/8/2004 8:41:32 PM UTC by coasterdude318***

I'll give you that one. I believe what you actually said was "It looks like something I threw up."

You mean like this or like this? And that's just in the past week!
When you set yourself up as Mr. Expert, quibble over little piddly terminologies and tell folks they're wrong you make a loooooot of friends. Isn't that funny how you expected everybody else to take that smack from you? Not so much fun now, huh?
I will admit you've been a little better lately...but you still set yourself up. Take your lumps. Be a man about it. Don't get all high-pitched and whiny.

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.
I'm not being whiny, but when people call me a troll, I'm going to defend myself. I also really couldn't care less what people on the Internet think of me; I'm just pointing out the hypocrites.

The people above have gone out of their way to post completely irrelevant things to the topic at hand.
Good thing you didn't join in now isn't it? ;)

The only reason people speak up is because you act as though you are a gift to the coaster community with your all-knowing, vast knowledge of everything coaster related, and when you are wrong it's just human nature to point it out. Trust me... the "I am God" attitude gets annoying after a while. As far as the hypocrite statement goes... I ain't even gonna begin to touch that one. I've got to leave a few scraps for the others. :)

Woah, woah, woah. I believe that qualifies as most ironic and hypocritical post of the millinium.
If you don't care what people say about you, then why are you going to defend yourself? You don't care, remember nate? they're the hypocrites, not you. Or do you have a different definition for hypocrite like you do opinion... *** Edited 6/9/2004 3:35:18 AM UTC by TeknoScorpion***
IF the ride is just "Drop-Tunnel-Turnaround-Tunnel", is that enough or is that just a one trick pony?
