delet, email

I was wondering if CBuzz could send out an automated email to people that threads/posts are deleted for they would know. Explaining why they were deleted/locked. just a thought

Here's a thought, maybe they get deleted/closed because the violate the TOS. I mean, I'm sure that since that's a logical conclusion that you probably overlooked that possibility, but nonetheless it's still a possibility.

It's rare that we delete anything anymore. People know the kind of things that don't fly and so they don't post them.

Besides, with hundreds of posts a day, I don't expect volunteer moderators to peck out a letter every time.

I usually put a quick explanation (or at least a smart ass comment) reply at the end of the thread if I close it.

It's an idea I ripped off from the other mods. In most cases there's little question as to why something was closed (between a closing comment and common sense)

If there's no explanation, and you have no clue as to why - I'd suggest hanging back a little more and getting a 'feel' for things.
