If the trains are gone maybe they are at Chance Morgan being retrofited? This may be a long shot but a rebuild would be cost effective and could be very interesting. How about digging a trench at the bottom of the first hill to extend the drop to 200 ft and basing the new ride on the twister concept (Aero Coaster II ?).

I remember hearing about some accident on Shockwave not too long ago. Somthing that had to do with the blue train. Now, it could be that they're taking Big Blue out, or they could just be working on the trains making sure it doesn't happen again. For some odd reason, the second excuse just seems much more sensible. Again, I wouldn't be surprised if Shockwave was removed after season's end, but has anyone considered the obvious?

Thank You for challenging TOS: The Ride. We hope you enjoy the rest of your day, here at Coasterbuzz.

I think the trains are gone for the season. The ride is going to be down the rest of the year. Do they not take the trains off and perform maintainence on them in the off season?

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)

how can this be a floorless? the track is under the train. i'm still new hear but i have never heard of a floorless with the track under the train.

That's what a floorless is. Go to www.rcdb.com

And do a search for Medusa, Batman Knight Flight or Batman the Dark Knight. They are just sitdown trains with no floor. I believe you are thinking of an Inverted coaster.

The animation is in fact Batman the Dark Knight.

You're thinking of an inverted/suspended rollercoaster like this:

A floorless is simply a sit down ride, with the track beneath, that has no floor, like Dark Knight is:

EDIT: MagnumForce beat me :)

Two weeks is not THAT long considering how it's such a painstaking process to get the train back in the station. I would bet that CP would not do it that much faster if faster at all.

Who said anything about Cedar Point? How come everybody is always looking to compare something to them? Jeez...

Cedar Point 2003, and it begins...

CobraRoller, SFGAMDie HARD means that people are saying because its six flags, its taking so long, and that if it was cedar point in this scenario it would probably take the same amount of time.

Im the #1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!!These are my top 3 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Cyclone/B:TDK

Spacecase i go back to the park because where i live there are no other options when it come's to theme parks. But do go on vacations often and see parks that are managed more properly!!

How can two weeks be a short time to fix a ride???? I think alot of other parks would have had what is considered a premier ride in the park fixed alot sooner, rather than having it sit their and DO NOTHING for weeks. Didint Cedar Point have parts shipped overnight when MF had problems after a lightening strike. Any park would have the ability to work on their rides at night if they put the guests concerns first and it wouldnt be that big of deal to have the proper lighting in place too work on the ride during hours the park isnt open. They do this type of work at other theme parks and do in on roadwork all across the country.

Bob O- yes, there is another option for going to theme parks. Don't go. Nobody is forcing you to.

GEEZ, I can't take much more of this, first off, some computer parts for MF is a little easier to ship "overnight" than big machinery to move an entire coaster train. And even if SFGAm could get "overnight" shipping of parts for Deja Vu it would do nothing seeing as that is not the problem. Don't compare a simple breakdown to a very difficult one! You have no real evidence to back up your claims.

When Batman's chain snapped this year, it was back in operation very soon after the incident. The size of the problem affects the amount of time needed to fix the problem. You never know that other parks may have fixed it faster, because it hasn't happened at those parks.

Even if they could have the machinery and huge cranes necessary to move the train, you can't just operate that type of machinery overnight without permission from the city. It really isn't any use explaining anything to him though, he's still just going to think that the park is lazy and doesn't care about guests (even though I'm sure a large majority of people here KNOW he is wrong).
