Deja-Vu(SFGAm) opened today: LONG LINE!!

Who's the little punk? Get over it. You really need to settle down. You're just as bad as the fast-lane or whatever users for claiming your better than us people who buy single day admissions and twickets just because your a season pass holder...

3 hours, not bad. I remember waiting 3 hours for Space Shuttle America when it first opened... I was seriously ****ed at my parents for wasting our time on it. It took so long because of long lines and long break downs every other ride. I could handle 3 hours waiting for Deja Vu, that would be better than any motion simulator.

I want my Hay Bayler back! Forget new rides! HAY BAYLER! While they are at it, why not bring back Tidal Wave too?

I  left at 11:00 in the morning after arriving at the park at open finding out that it was too damn cold to run the ride since it was continuously valleying. I was watching the ride cycle from under the bridge in Hometown and noticed the train never made it from the original tower. When I arrived I saw the train stuck. What a trip. Raging Bull then I was out of there.

Did it break down alot while it was open? How long was it until it closed for good that day? And how did it open if it can't run in the cold? It was too cold Saturday, wouldn't it have been too cold yesterday?

Well if they were taking Fast Lane for Deja Vu, you should have got one instead of waiting in line for 3 hours.

Does Great America use the tickets you have to pay extra for?  Sucks, but to avoid a 3 hour line I'd sure pay.

They had the train wrapped in a plastic cover and one of the ride ops said that they were heating the train. It appears they were destined to open it regardless of the temperature and they succeeded in doing that.

Hey Pancake. I know I didnt wait in line for 3 hours. I didnt go on it at all.

Chitowns 6 year old daughter says "Daddy, Dippin Dots are nasty!!" I must say that I agree!!

Chitown,

What happened to your mantra: "I refuse to touch this park on a weekend" ?

Also, if you're there on the opening day for a new ride, it justs seems like you'd want to ride it just to say you rode it on its opening day. (Particularly an enthusiast). Also, I seem to enjoy rides more when I've waited because I feel like I've "earned it", so to speak.  Unless you're waiting for a ride you know is medicre.

Chitown. again, the Fastlane is the other part of the queue that they are not using (left side). It looks just like V2's Fastlane. Why don't you buy a fastlane pass and go up the exit? I'll give you $1000 if they take it! They won't! Did you see the sign by the booth where they sell FastLane? It doesn't say DV on it! The only people going up the exit are wheelchair people. The wheelchair people are given cards that look just like fastlane cards. I think SFGAm made a wise choice by not taking fastlane as that would really get people mad (myself included). So to all you people that pay attention, don't worry about fastlane at DV because they don't use it! But it is still a long line... I waited 2:20 from the game next to the lines of ques.
As long as we're at some place I've already checked all the rides out, any wait I'd probaly do. There's not big parks close by, so repeat visits are often out of the question. Waiting in a line is nobody's first choice. Remember the Line Ride on South Park? They all thought it sucked.

I do not agree with FastPasses for one reason. It gives people a reason to have spent more money. It devalues a regular admission, IMO. It was $15 at SFoG, more than you would spend on food for yourself. But honestly, I think those people fill empty seats most the time on MOST rides, but Deja Vu shouldn't utilize it now. Until those people have walked up and stabbed you in the back for no reason, know that they have purchased a service the park offers to anyone who pays for it. Nobody throws anything.

Maybe you want to take a day off from the 'roids and pick up a grammar book for a sec. You think you scare me? I could be 5'2 and 95 pounds soaking wet, but if you threw some trash at me, it would be an action you would live to regret.

If you get all worked up about someone having more privileges than you, then you will just have a hard life. Look son, if you feel your season pass is "devalued" because of FASTLANE that is your opinion, but the minute you invade someone else's "personal space" because you are ticked off, you are inviting the ass-whupin that is sure to follow. Just dont be mad when it happens!

And for the record, I severely DOUBT that the passholders (especially the cheap ones that cry on websites) make up the bulk of park revenue. No, I would submit that it is the regular schmoes who go up to the parks once, maybe twice in a year who donate the most loot. THOSE are the people who are most likely to eat in the park and buy souvenirs, because they arent coming back for a while. As opposed to the SP holder who goes up to Fatburger for lunch. I, personally, think the big deal with the passes is to increase the attendance numbers (a large percentage being repeat visits) so that they can sell more advertising (you know, those corporate sponsorships). But that's just a guess.

I was there, I waited and talked to the ops at about 11:30 AM, and by 2:30 they had opened it. I was among the first 32 members of the public to ride it that day (maybe ever, but I'm not sure if Friday was a buyout or not) I rode in the front of row three, and it was really, really awesome. It was by far the smoothest Vekoma ride I've ever ridden. (If you were there, I was wearing the Penguins jersey. :))

By the time I left the ride, the line filled the entire queue, and snaked around to the Southwest Territory entrance under Demon. It was one of the longest lines I'd ever seen, and much longer than V2's line when I was there the first day it opened.

IndianBeachGuy:

You seriously need to put your attitude in check when trying to correct someone. Maybe I did mistake it for wheelchair access. Who knows? However, the way you respond to peoples statements is going to put you in hot water here. Fine, maybe they didnt use Fastlane but the line was still around 3 hours long, plain and simple. If you want to correct someone, I suggest to you in the future to respond in a more constructive manner. Oh and by the way, I do know where Gurnee, Il is considering I went to school there and grew up there.

Bull Fan:

I guess I really have no choice now considering its only open on weekends. Also, I dont have the patience like I used to to wait in a line that long. I can wait till next year. If I was a long distance away from this park I probably would have ridden it.

all you people do is complain about fastlane and how its not fair. everyone has the chance to buy a fastlane ticket. and if you dont and choose to wait 3 hours then thats your own fault.

Chi town is right!! the fast lane system sucks the big one! the lind did stretch all the way to the train tracks in Southwest Scaritory and i was  thinking those people are going to wait 3 hours or more! we got on pretty quick as we got in line at 2:00pm and got on the ride at 2:30 pm.

Bah, don't fret the fastlane. America thrives on capitalism, and this is capitalism at it's best. You pay for a cheeseburger, don't complain when you get a cheeseburger, and don't yell at me and my Whopper.

COMMANDMENT FIVE of my Ten Commandments of Waiting in Line is "Thou Shalt Not Hold Ill Will Towards Users Of The FastPass"

as someone else said, EVERYONE has the chance to buy fastlane if they want to, so dont complain if you dont want to buy a fast lane.  AND Deja Vu does NOT accept fast lane this season.  The only people who go up the exit have handicap passes.  So, if you dont like Fast Lane so much, dont use it and get over it.
Today was a great day for deja vu. I only waited an hour and a half at 4 oclock in the afternoon.

I have been a very good customer of SF for a very long time. I have had a season pass with them when i was 13 and i have had one every year since then. All we would get is lousy 2 for 1 coupons that anyone can get and its time that Six Flags shows more respects for its season pass holders. And without those sponsorships Six Flags, Inc would have been bankrupt by now, so season holders are resposible for that also and the attendance #'s and what i mentioned before.
