Deja Vu Still Down at SFGAm

.....in case anyone was wondering.

No signs of life, either.

That stinks. Does anybody know if it will be back up again soon?

X Looks Awesome! Oh Yea!!

I'm trying to get back June 1, anybody know if it will be operating by then? How are the other two operating?

The below statement is true.
The above statement is false.

Constant Looping is a lack of creativity.

that ride is getting me mad...i have been there at least 20 times since they built the damn thing and guess how many times i've gotten on that piece...................................................................

ONCE!!!!! after a 3 hour wait

I went on it twice on May 4 and each time the line was a 2 hour wait. The goog thing of it was that, hold on to your chairs, IT WAS OPERATING THE WHOLE DAY WITHOUT ANY MAJOR MALFUNCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!! Believe it or not!

-----------------
Six Flags-Its everywhere you want to be

It operated almost the entire day on the Sunday, the 5th, without any problems as well. The ride valleyed about 20 minutes before the park closed. It got really chilly in the evening and in all honesty, the park should have shut down the ride earlier when the temps dropped. Then again, they would have had to deal with a ton of pissed off people that had been waiting in line for an hour and a half.

Kyle

I'm sure it's closed right now because it's been so cold every day of operation since the 5th. Once it warms up I'm sure the ride will be operating.

-Nate

I went on the 16th and they tested it about 5 times in the morning, then they shut it down for the rest of the day.

-----------------

I dont think its the weather thats the issue. It has been warm since the 5th. They have been testing pretty much every day since the 16th or 17th. Im sure they will get the ride back up and running soon hopeflly this weekend! We just have to sit back and watch
It has *not* been warm since the 5th. If it's testing (and successfully completing the circuit) then why hasn't it opened? It's the weather. If I can see my breath outside (as I could last Sunday when I went), it's too darn cold for the ride.

The CYO band from my city is headed for Great America tommorow. (Saturday) and it's supposed to rain. And from the sounds of it, it sounds like Deja Vu will probably be down on that day 2. What is the actual cause of the break down?
Sfgam E 7, on May 5th, it valleyed between the loop and boomerang. Great operating record, huh? 1 1/2 days so far this month. I was lucky enough to be one of the few riders on it's probably less than 300 cycles this season.

-----------------
Whats more reliable? Deja Vu, or RCT running without a trapper error?

It's not the weather. The high was 70 degrees when I visited on Wednesday and it was down. Most of the day the temps were in the high 60's
How does Deja Vu valley? Is it because theres not enough weight on the train or is it running slow or could it be the weather?

We rode Deja Vu at SFGam on Friday, May 3, 2 days before the incident- and it was FREEZING cold that night. They had the ride going all night until closing, 11pm. Now I'm glad I put up with a long 40 min. wait (all other rides were practically walk-on), as I'm not too sure when they'll get this one up and running again.
I can almost guarantee that it's the weather - SFGAm doesn't want to risk another valley due to cold temperatures. The ride has been cycling through just fine for the past couple of weeks now - so you tell me why it's not running then. It's been cold for the past few weeks (no, it has not been in the 70's) . If temps are above 50 and the ride still isn't running, it's likely that SFGAm anticipated colder weather and didn't staff the ride for the day.

I think all of this is getting pretty bad, and making Vekoma look like the last possible alternative for a coaster.

On the other hand, what is it with some of you enthusiasts? You call it a POS, yet get mad because you can't ride it. Make up your mind...

Outkast - We call it a POS because we can't ride it.

They may want to wait until the weather is guaranteed to stay around the mid 60's or so before they open it again so they have a temperature cushion to make sure another of these valley's can be avoided. Personally I think the ride IS a POS and I probably wont even give it a chance by riding it. I am personally not a huge fan of being extracted from a ride anywhere except the station where one is supposed to get out.
