Deja Vu (SFOG)

^^^^^ Damn you Moosh! DAAAAAMMMMMMNNNNN YOOOOOUUUUUU!!!!!

Actually I wasn't all that bummed at SFMM, there were way too many other things to do than to go ride an exact copy of a ride I have at home. We didn't ride Batman with it's 1 train induced 2 hour line for that exact reason. Might have been nice to at least have the option...

But still, in the course of a month I went to all three and nothing... :(

I was at SFOG on two consecutive Fridays last June. Their Vu was open both days. Rode it. Twice.

Yes, I was running very well last year. I had hoped that would continue this year. Sadly, it went in the other direction.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
I still reckon I'm quite possibly the only person out there to have ridden all four of them (including the one in Spain) :)

^^^You're not. Rob and Ellisa over at that website we're not supposed to mention (and notice I didn't! OMG don't ban me! lol) have done all four as well.

Until one of these (or all of these) really do get removed riding all four might end up being something of a coaster geek-dom holy grail.

And Mindbender in Edmonton Mall too. Oh, sorry.......my mistake :)

A(n) SFoG Exec has said both Déjà Vu and Ninja (with its new paint job) are scheduled to open this weekend.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
Well count me in the crowd that has went to all three parks and got zero rides. The only one that was running was at SFMM but my buddy was too tall to ride and I didn't want to wait the 2 hours alone. Bad decision, apparently....
Georgia Cyclone was also not running during our visit, but I thought Ninja was a hoot! :) We got 3 or 4 rides on it and laughed ourselves silly every lap.

SFGAm's Deja Vu ran almost flawlessly in 2005.

I thought maybe Six Flags had figured them out, finally.

^ Well I think this was a pretty sudden thing! As of somewhere around mid-February, SFOG's was going to open in March but something came up to delay that. Around the same time, Magic Mountain's went on the shelf too. I think they still kinda have it figured out (as well as they can!)

Now hopefully the one at Magic Mountain will be open on the 27th :)

LOL too true coasterkitty. Georgia Cyclone was pretty bad when I last rode it.
It's downright awful. Even though it appears maintenance has been done on GC over the winter (newish looking wood on the track), it's riding like SOB.

I'm actually batting about .750 on the Vu's and have all 3. =) 1/1 on oG's 3/4 on MM's and 1/2 on GAm's.

Why do you mention in this post that you have ridden the other Deja Vu rides in the other parks? It has absolutely nothing to do with this post, as the person specifies SFOG. I was told that riding more roller coasters did not give me any more knowledge than others and I was told that it is juvenile to post your numbers. Just a thought. *** Edited 4/18/2006 5:59:17 PM UTC by coasterkitty***

Whoa...what's your problem? This thread was talking about the reliability of the Deja Vu rides. Andy's post speaks to how he has experienced their reliability. What is wrong with that?

Besides, I just read another post of yours where you list the number of coasters you've been on and that you've ben to all SF parks. It's ok for you to say that and not for Andy to say he's ridden 3 Deja Vus?

First of all, Andy posted this before I made my post about my numbers, and then he basically bashed me for doing so.That is why I thought it was odd for him to make this post. I am just saying that riding 3 of these rides doesn't mean you understand them better. That is something I learned from Andy's posts. I am just saying what I have been taught by him. Deja Vu at SFOG seems to be down more than either of the other 2. They all have problems, but they all run for different amounts of time. These rides are very hard to figure out. *** Edited 4/18/2006 5:54:23 PM UTC by coasterkitty***

I'm not sure how you are getting that from what he said. He said he has experienced them running about 75% of the time. That's it. And it's much better than my 0 for 8 visits to SFOG!

I will admit that the Deja Vu at SFOG seems to have more downtime than the others. And about the other matter, I perfectly understand what he is saying. The most important thing is that we continue to enjoy riding those roller coasters out there.
