Deja Vu opening at SFMM!

Got off the phone with a lady and she said Deja Vu is schulaed to open on Memorial Day (Monday 28) or even earlier, she didnt know about X, and even said it might just be a flying roller coaster instead, because they are having a lot of problems and with a flying roller coaster they could open before the summer comes or just after. X would be in around September she said and Magic Mountaibn doesnt want that.
2 questions: Who is this "lady"? and what in the H-ll are you talking about? A flying coaster instead?

Ghostrider = good
Huh? Another Kindergardener(sp?)?
I think SFMM would sooner cancel the order than go with the absolute anarchy that would ensue if they were to make it a flying coaster. I think it's bull.

BTW, Deja Vu is set to open on Friday, May 25th.
A guest relations lady. She said Deja Vu will open on May 28 or before. She said X has so much problems they might just get a flying coaster instead, but will use the same name. They need this ride before or like 2 weeks after summer, but X will be in September and Six Flags doesnt want that. They will build it though, but starting construction in September, and than they will have 16 coasters instead of 15. Man you people dont understand anything
How can X be having problems? It hasn't even run yet.

There's no way that a new coaster could be built from the ground up and running before summer.

Just not possible.

Between design for variations in ground level design, permits, fabrication and assembly time, there's no way in hell it could happen.

I meant with the construction, and they expect a lot of problems when it opens. They dont want any accidents either
I think they mean problems with the construction/fabrication of the ride.

So what are you saying?

1. SFMM is having problems with X's construction. 2. Instead of having the "X" trains they will just put "flying coaster" trains on it.
3. They are going to halt construction on "X" and disassemble what they have done and build a Vekoma instead.

I can believe some construction problems and possibly problems with the trains. I doubt Arrow woulds sell SFMM somthing they couldn't build. It would really put a black mark on Arrows name.

This sounds like a I heard from my uncles, friends, cousin's, neighbor who worked with a guy who knew an person at a park rumor.

Hello, My name is Dan and I'm a coasterholic.
no they will get new track for a flying coaster, and keep the X track there till next year. Both coasters will be near Viper in the new themed area of the park. The flyer supposidally called The Joker will be behind Viper, and X will be where it was always going to be.
File this under Thrillride's "Wild Rumors."

One more thing (good news) they might do construction on X also and just have it open in September, so they can fix all what needs to be fixed, and Joker sometime in Late July early August. X mid september till mid October
Having problems with X? It's kind of hard to have problems when all you've done is pour footers!

Look at this new pic on thrillride:

If someone at SFMM really told you this, then they are yanking your chain!

They are supposed to have the track up well some of it and they dont thats the trouble
Again, if this person is from SFMM they are yanking your chain. X is only in horizontal construction.

Check out SFMM Y2K central for recent pics

I think this recent pic sums up the progress quite nicely:

Just got off the phone with SFMM personnel. I was told that Deja Vu is scheduled to open May 25th, that date is set. I was also told that there IS no opening date set yet for the other "big one" as she called it. There are NO problems whatsoever with any current construction, nor ANY plans for any flying coaster. As she said herself, they "do not give out that kind of speculation over the phone, not if they want to keep their jobs". nuff said.

Big surprise!

There is no way they will get a flying coaster instead of X. Like DWeaver said, Deja Vu is set to open on the 25th of May. Media Day will be held on the 24th. You can expect X to open sometime in July, as long as there are no major problems, which to be honest I don't predict.
