Debating

Can you give me 3 good reasons why you have to close a tread if there is even some debating in it?

Seriously though, I realize you mean vs. threads, and here are some reasons I wouldnt want it (and yes Im sure I would be sucked into it too:)

-It pushes valid and stimulating topics down the board
-In the end its not a debate since in the end we all base our opinions on personal reasons and there is no argueing with a person to change said reasons
-We would cover all of the vs topics in about a week and newbies would continously bring them up so that we would go over the same topics again, and again.

1.) It's not interesting to read people fighting.

2.) "Debates" are just glorified flame wars

3.) Every coaster related debate has been discussed on this site. Google search is fantastic.

Time to close the entire board?
