DDr Forum

What is the DDR forum for?

I have never sene a thread at all in that forum.

Dance Dance Revolution?
^ Yeah.

What is it for?

To talk about DDR.
What is there to talk about DDR?
The seven pages of threads in the forum may give you a pretty good idea of what there is to talk about.

What is there to talk about DDR?

How idiotic people look whilst playing? ;)

I does, however, seem odd to have a random DDR forum on a coaster site. But hey, whatever.

There has long been a DDR subculture in enthusiast circles.

Moosh, people look just as idiotic riding roller coasters, or playing any sport, for that matter. It's just that we're accostomed to seeing people do those things, so we think nothing of it.

As for the relevance of the DDR forum, I got into DDR through my association with coaster enthusiasts. I played it for the first time at Kings Island. And now, four years later, I spend far more time playing and discussing DDR than I ever did riding and discussing roller coasters.

Although I have to admit, this forum is pretty dried up. Most DDR forums that I visit have devolved into lists of accomplishments and inside jokes, except for DDRfreak, which is where n00bs go to ask stupid questions and get bah-leted and/or banninated.

Well let's face it, Konami missed the boat. It got ridiculously popular in the US without any significant US releases outside of the game consoles.
