That was a stupid commercial. The way they were like "wwwwwhhhhhooooaa," that was stupid. I thought that it insulted coasters.

I hated that commercial. It did not make any sense.

Westside!!!
Yes, fortunately I only saw it once. As I've said, it's a mockery of everything we hold dear.
Lighten up... it was a good spot.

Blech!
It was ok the first 3 times. Now it's just plain annoying, and it plays non-stop about 10 times a day when I randomly watch channels.
Let's hope it gets old fast with the rest of the public and McDonalds yanks it & replaces it with something a little less annoying (ok, ok... a lot less annoying!).
That comercial is totaly STUPID. I hate it and it's not accurate. Just because you are on a roller coaster doesn't mean all you can say is Whoa. You would still be able to speak clearly.
My God! Have you lost all sense of humor? It's a joke! No one said you couldn't talk on a coaster, it's supposed to be a mother-son moment where they understand each other even when they're screaming.
Wow... I'm speechless that anyone would try to interpret that commercial as anything else. I agree the frequency is a little unnerving, but, wow...
On a side note, I love the new VW spot... "A weekend pass to Coaster Kingdom!" :)

I think the commercial is funny, because California Screamin' is a very tame. They make it look so scary! (It's not!!)
I agree with Jeff's side note about the VW commercial. The kids go nuts when they hear the big prize in the candy sale is a weekend pass to Coaster Kingdom. Hey, I would too. As long as it has the word coaster in it!
Poor guy in the VW....about to get hit by pint sized coaster crazies!
The McDonalds commerical is all right...except when, at the end, it shows them upside down for an extended period. That must be *one big* vertical loop! ;)

You know I just don't get the ending of the commercial. The kids all coming running out, see the passat, stop for a moment, then continue running. Not sure how to interpret that commercial. anyone have a theory?

jdancisin,
The way I take the ending of that commercial is that the kids see the Passat, stop because they think it is an expensive car, therefore the driver must have money, therefore he will buy lots of their candy!
Notice that after they stop and see him, they all start running toward him. (CHA CHING)

The whole thing is they say the Passat only
looks like a million bucks or something like that. Anyway, the point is the kids think that the cat in the car is loaded and thus will buy many candy bars. Resulting in the weekend pass to Koaster Kingdom!
lata,
jeremy
That's not the point...why would the car company want you to think their car is expensive?!? The point is, the car is so cool looking that it distracts the kids from their goal for a sec.
Den that's not the point they also have another commercial that a guy get's kidnapped in front of his car that look's like a million dollar's, a min later you see them coming back and saying there sorry for kidnapping him. Ends with only look's like a million dollar's.

Okay here it what I am hearing
The kids come running out, see the passat, and for a second they think that it is an expensive car therefore the driver will probably but a lot of candy. But then they realize that it is JUST a passat and it doesn't cost a lot. That makes sense but I am not sure if that is a succesful message for a car commercial. Seems very confused to me.
IMO, the kidnapper commercial works much better.

NO, the kids never realize the car is moderately priced. The whole point is that you can have a car that is flashy like a Benz, Beemer (not the coasters ;)) or Jaguar, without paying all that money.
You look like you spend a lot on the car, but really you dont.
