Danbury Mint makes MF collectable miniature

^Personally I like Brad's (ArrowGuy) models the best. :-) Keith's kicks butt as well.

Trust me, a lot of ACE official's "quotes" have been taken out of context MANY times. Being in a position like that you are bound to expect such things. I have many friends who have stepped down from their positions because they were tired of the BS, or something they said that was misconstrued.

Personally, I have had nothing but positive interactions/conversations with Carole. I consider her a good friend, but that's just me. We all have our fans and not-so-much fans. I am sure Jeff is on many geeks' s*** lists, but he takes it with stride, like any professional business owner should.

Like Bill said.... no foul, no harm.

I think of Carole as a friend too and have always enjoyed my interactions with her.

There was much more to the quote she did go on to say that ACERS are likely to buy merchandise at the parks they visit and that this particular item might be something that someone purchases for another enthusiast rather than them buying for themselves.

Having said this, having been to a number of ACE events and seen what a solid color logo free banner that once flew at some park gets in an auction, I wouldn't put anything past the interests of any member of the organization.

It's my prediction they will sell out of them.
Quickly.

No Tina, I said "No harm, no foul"....you really should watch more ESPN....ROFL! ;)

bill, loves misquoting people....but usually only to poke fun at myself in some roundabout fashion... :)

P.S. They probably WOULD sell better AT the parks.....hmmmmmm....

Come on, we all probably have seen an ACE member or two with every patch that'll fit onto their jean jacket. To say that someone wouldn't be interested in a model I think is understating things quite a bit. This is the same organization that has had contests to make models for their annual gathering. And now you're too cool because someone else made it?

Now the line about a parent or relative buying it for the enthusiast on their Christmas etc. list, yeah that I buy.

I think it looks good, but I wouldn't pay more than $10 for it, not saying it isn't worth more, but I just wouldn't pay it.

look at the dimensions.. true, it's only 3" high.. but at 11"x9"? That's awfully big for a paperweight..

Personally, I'm very interested in moderate-priced collectibles of roller coaster nature.. I need to find a way to either come up with the money, or pass it on as a birthday/christmas combo wishlist item...

This will look great underneath my framed Hydra limited edition lithograph/pin set. :)
