Dan Snyder buys Johnny Rockets (could get interesting)

I Think that there will be in some of the Six flags locations but strip malls also are great places for them to be.

For Six Flags, I don't think SF is looking for hamburger places, since they already have Mooseburger Lodge chain (private Label Chain) that does very well.

You sure about that? I did a Google search for Mooseburger and all that is coming up is stories relating to Six Flags. I have never heard of Mooseburger being a private label chain. Always thought it was a name created by Six Flags.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

^^^I think that's what is meant by "Private" as in exclusive to Six Flags. Or at least that's how I read it.

Agreed! Same hamburger at Burger King for $5 less. Article in Washington Post todays quotes Wendy Goldberg from Six Flags saying they are looking at adding Johnny Rockets to Six Flags Parks.

Thats what a Private Label Chain is. a chain that is used by Six Flags to refer to the hamburger resturants in their theme parks.

I think it would be a stupid move to put Jonny ROckets into the parks. They should go with a chain that has something other than hamburgers hotdogs and pizza. *** Edited 2/10/2007 11:59:01 PM UTC by Cs6153***

Let's see of the 5 Six Flags parks I visited last season. I only remember seeing one Mooseburger Lodge. What Six Flags parks besides Magic Mountain have them?

Watch the tram car please....
Great America has a Mooseburger Lodge

A franchise license lasts for years. It's not like they can just back out of it.

And who cares anyway? It's below mediocre bar food mixed with crappy service because of all the dancing nonsense.

Yes, but corporate contracts are replete with lots of clauses that start with, "This agreement shall be considered void if...." I'm not a business attorney, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't a contingency built in for just such an event.
Mooseburger Lodge was created in 2005 to replace McDonald's at a handful of Six Flags parks. I know that among them were SFMM, SFGAm, SFSL, and SFOG. After the first year SFI reported to increase profits by 61% for the facilities.

What buisness does he have buying a restaurant chain, when his parks are in so much debt?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Mooseburger has been at SFGAm for awhile.

He's a Six Flags stockholder. The company's debt is not his personal debt.

Exactly. Completely unrelated businesses, the debt of Six Flags is not impacted by this purchase one bit.

He's just buying things to maximize his personal profit. Just because he happens to own the majority of shares in a company with debt doesn't mean that it's his debt. Especially if he finds someone (like Disney ;) ) to purchase the company from him at a price that turns him a profit.

If you're referring to his stock in Six Flags, he does not hold a majority of stock, he actually holds about 15% If i'm not mistaken.

There's a reason why CF has turned to franchised chains like Johnny Rockets, TGI Fridays, and Famous Dave's for some of its food locations. Anyone who thinks that JR will become another Coasters just because Six Flags will open some in other states is probably missing the point of being a "regional" amusement park operator, drawing mostly from the locals.
