Brief intro about me: I am a new member, I like roller coasters and ponies
Short story: So I was at SFGadv last year buckling up on El Toro and I saw the seat belt buckles and instantly thought, "This is the coolest buckle ever". After contacting Six Flags, Intamin, and tons of searches to track down the buckle (After forgetting the markings on it except the mountain logo, also, I never got a response from Intamin and Six Flags didn't help) So I finally found it and after another few weeks of going through Stubai, then the US distributor, I found one site that sold it but wasn't available for about 7 months, fast forward, finally got it.
Onto the belt. (CAUTION, Make sure your pants can fit a 45mm belt!!!) It is made from the Stubai Click Fix Flex XL buckle, 45mm Nylon webbing, and 5 cord nylon thread. Put that all together and you have the coolest belt strong enough to tow 54,000 pounds at 1m/s/s of acceleration or 5,400 pounds vertically.

Making it is more costly than it is difficult to make, mainly because the buckle is $50 + $10 shipping. The other items needed is the belt material at only $0.60 a foot and the thread. If you are going to sew this yourself, don't. If you still want to, make sure you have a 7 class sewing machine or other super heavy duty machine with steel gears. I didn't have that so I just went to my local shoe repair store and had it sewn for $8, make sure you get it sewn with cord 5 or 6 nylon if you want the strength.
Where to get the materials:
Webbing http://www.strapworks.com/Flat_Nylon_Webbing_p/mfnw134.htm
Buckle: http://www.greatoutdoorsdepot.com/click-fix-xl-adjustable-434428.html
Thread: www.thethreadexchange.com
After you get the materials, it is pretty straight forward, you put one end on the webbing through the side with the clips, fold over to whatever length you want, I went for 3 inches to make sure it will never break, you can make it whatever you want, I also had the folded over part on the outside but that also is up to you. Once it is sewn, unclip the adjustable side, thread the belt through your pants, and weave through the other side of the buckle.
How to spot an enthusiast: Look to see if they're wearing a handmade Intamin belt.
Your dedication in making that was awesome, and I couldn't help but laugh a bit at it all...especially your love for coasters and ponies. :)
My head just exploded. How do you feel about donkeys? Sorry, wrong site. Enthusiasm is fun, ain't it :)
@Jeph, Or an Austrian paragliding enthusiast. You know, because you see those so often. The problem though is since its a belt, its usually covered by my shirt. I just can't wait till the day I can click two buckles when loading
@GayCoasterGuy, Donkeys are fine but they are too stubborn, and bald.
@RCMAC, What?
If its not broken, don't touch it.
Because it's the most appropriate response.
You did the right thing, Gator.
Like the ones on television? I'm a unicorn kind of guy though.
If you keep looking between Gonch's and Tomtortoise's avatars, they start to look alike in some ways. Conspiracy!
Tomtortoise's avatar by a long shot. Tomtortoise, do you happen to like tortoises too?
@GayCoasterGuy, She has purple glasses aswell, if you overlay those on the orange glasses, No Light Passes Through! Conspiracy!
@BlasterBoy6500, I have been using this username since I created an email to play Runescape back in 4th grade, played one day... Anywho, not really sure why I still use it, tortoises are cool, better when they fly though.
If its not broken, don't touch it.
@Tyler Boes, Its better not to question it. If you want something other than ponies, I also make robots. Not as much fun though.

Haha! Well, you certainly made a MUCH better first impression than I did. Mine was all "fastest coaster in the world this" and "tallest in the world that." You could call me a noob.
Edit: I'm expecting someone in the next few posts to call me that. Especially Gonch.
