Crane spotted at Carowinds

Why did they wait until the middle of summer to put the flag up? Come on, nobody knows what the crane is for, nor do I give a damn. I just posted a joke and some people can't even take that.

Sorry brah, but you're wrong, because that IS what the crane was for. Sorta makes sense doesn't it? One day, no flag there, very tall crane with American flag on it. Next day, crane gone, tall American flag on top of Skytower.

What am I wrong about? Does anybody have a pic of this crane?

You're wrong in saying that no one knows what the crane is for. No one has a picture of the crane because it was only up for a day to put the flag and flagpole up.

That crane was an awful long way away from the skytower. Also they wouldn't need a crane to get a flag up there, the ride is a giant elevator.

I'm not saying that they didn't use the crant to place the flag there I'm just saying they didn't need to and the crane was on the service road near the front gate bridge

I was just at Carowinds last week and saw the crane. However, for that to have been coaster related, they would have to have footers, flag markers, things spray painted on the ground, etc.far in advance of a crane showing up. Since there was none of that, I don't see how anyone could think it had anything to do with a new coaster.

Although I will say that this park needs a few more coasters. A hyper would be great. Even a floorless would be nice here. They could also use another "land" to spread out the crowds a bit. It was packed when I was there and people were elbow to elbow all over that park. And what's with the restrooms? They desperately need more here. And the ones they currently have need to be made larger with more capacity. They are quite small for a theme park of Carowinds size and attendance.

The footers, markers, and cleared land may not be visible. Anyway, I'm not going to drive 8 hours just to see what looks unusual.

Ahh...from the observation tower ride they most certainly would be. Sorry should have made myself clearer. That's where I looked from. There's nothing being built anywhere in that park right now.

Oh...one thing I forgot to mention about this park was about the flat panel menu displays in the Nick Cafe. They are REALLY cool! Never seen those anywhere before. They were much easier to read then regular menu boards. I hope these pop up in other parks too.
