Crane spotted at Carowinds

I don't think this has been mentioned, but if you didn't know there is a somewhat large crane by the north gate entrance bridge. I was just wondering if anyone knew what it may be for. The only idea I could come up with could be setting up the stunt show... Also, if you have been to PGA, how is the show? Thanks.
I was there Yesterday (WED the 25th) and I noticed the crane too. There seems to be a rolled up American Flag hanging from the tip. If the crane was for the effect of the stunt show, then why would they put it by the flume, why not closer to the paladium where the show is going to be. I was asking employees, most of them had no idea and looked away real quick. One employee said they are supposed to get a major coaster next year. I guess I will just believe it when I see it!
The employ I asked said they were getting........A NEW FLAGPOLE. It must be a big one judging from the size of that crane. In other words I don't think she knew. That is right where I would want a hyper coaster, diving under the front gate bridge, but Carowinds isn't known for teasing guests about the following years additions.

Well if there's a crane on-site they *must* be getting a new coaster!

mOOSH [oh, by the way...that was sarcasm]

Well, that's because that's the only thing cranes are used for!

And that's because we WANT it to be a major coaster! ;)

Man, I wanna a perfect mix of Nitro and SFNE SROS. That'd be sweet. Only a pipe dream, though.

Hmm.. well there have been some peculiar clues this year hinting something big and new next year. First, the renovation of Smurf Island, and now this. But if they were getting a new coaster, I just don't really understand why they'd be working on it this early in the season. Fingers crossed.

I noticed the crane also and got my hopes up for nothing. As far as I know, it is only there just to hold that flag, which has since become rolled up because of the wind blowing it. As for what we may be getting next season, I asked one of the park's ride managers what we had in store. They said that we MAY be getting a waterpark expansion. I asked about a possible coaster near north gate and he said that they didn't want to destroy the bus parking lot to make room and the land across the service road is not owned by Carowinds.

Well I guess it doesn't matter anymore because the crane is gone. And I didn't think it meant anything either, I was just pointing out something.
The movers and shakers at PC should be shot!!!!! I knew that the crane meant nothing, but still was keeping my fingers crossed.

Paramount Carowinds....DAM* YOU! Please install something comparable to TopGun and how about adding a few interesting/exciting Flats!

Dukies#1, it's they're not there... and jkpark, since when is Carowinds CP copycats? The two parks are in no way similar... one is a "theme" park and the other is an "amusement" park. One is owned by the Paramount Entertainment Corp. and the other is owned by Cedar Fair... One is centered on family attractions while the other is centered on more thrilling attractions... hmph!
nascartheridein05?, Its a JOKE.

I'm sorry, but I just don't understand how the incorrect spelling of they're (according to how you are trying to use it in the sentence) has any play in your "joke" which isn't cleary marked... *cat hiss*
So jokes have to be clearly marked now?

I was referring to the suspicious crane at Carowinds. Just like that maroon and white track with yellow supports sitting by MS at CP last year.

Next time, read before you post.

I know this has sorta swayed from the topic and turned more into making fun of everyone, but the crane was putting an American flag on top of the Skytower. Hence, the American flag hanging from the crane.

I second StarCoasters...Carowinds usually has an American Flag on top of Skytower, that is if memory is serving me correctly.
