Crane is in place for Liberty Launch

Will Koch says the S&S guys have been fabulous to work with -- very professional.

It was remarkable watching Liberty Launch being put in its place. :)

Time before what? Holiday World has already contracted with the ex-CCI guys, The Gravity Group. Dinn is little more than a figure head, and from what I gather isn't exactly in the best standing with a lot of people.

A double shot is like a regular shot tower, only usually smaller. And it blasts you up and down twice. I think you may bounce a few times after that, not sure.

I remember seeing *one* of the old CCI engineers working for S&S/Arrow at IAAPA, surprising to see....I wouldn't be surprised *at all* to see Checkett's make a serious run at the wooden coaster game - it certainly is an open field now that CCI is no more.

bill, having a hard time remembering *which* CCI engineer it was....any help?

"Blasts you up twice and down twice" doesn't quite do it justice, though. A Double Shot shoots you up, and then when you hit the top IMMEDIATELY shoots you back down. The sudden reversal gives a really cool pop of air. THAT'S why so many of us are excited about Holiday World installing one, in spite of the "lack of height" -- because it's a darn good ride.

The Double Shot at IB is one hell of a rush! It's running just like it did when they first installed it. It blasts you up one, kind of pushing you back down, then WHAM, back up you blast only on the second trip up at the top you get blasted back down again, and then you bounce a few times before you land. The ride is an absolute rush. My fiances youngest one came up off his seat a few inches and the look on his face was pretty dang funny...lol. It's still my favorite "drop" ride ever. It used to blast you back down on the first trip up, but last year they had it set so you got blasted down on the second trip up. Kind of a great surprise if you weren't expecting it, like my fiances kid. :)
