107mph going over a 225ft (your number there) top hat...
You can test that one yourself.

107mph over a 225' tophat? I don't think anyone wants to experience THAT many negative Gs.
YIKES!
Nice try, tho, BlueStreak83.

Ok, you're right, lol. Maybe not 225 feet, but I cant imagine Cedar Point building over 300 feet. Where would they get the money from? Millenium Force cost 25 mill, Wicked Twister caused 12 mill, imagine how much a 400 foot launched coaster would cost! Maybe about 290 feet, :).
xcelerator tested up to 117mph, and if the launch track was maybe 50ft or so above ground level then it could easily make it over a 420ft top hat.
and who says there is gonna be a top hat at the start of the course?

Why not? They did with Millennium Force, Space Spiral, and Power Tower.

Trees, I'd imagine.
Wicked Twister caused 12 mill...
Caused 12 mill what? In repair work (oooh, the ref takes a point away!)?

Probably around 25 mill.

Isn't this just the same thing that was discussed in the 400+ post topic?
