CP's New Coaster- not 420 ft?

I was thinking this morning and remebered something from the Xcelerator opening. When it was testing it reached speeds of 107 mph. That would have tied the world's record for speed with Donopa. Since Cedar Point already built a major coaster last year in Wicked Twister they may not have the money to put in a giant coaster, espically with talks of new coasters going in at Valleyfair! and Michigan's Adventure next year. Cedar Point always has to break a record when putting in a coaster, so my final hypothesis is thus. Cedar Point will build a slightly taller version of Xcelerator (maybe 20 feet taller) and run it full speed reaching speeds in excess of 107 mph thus breaking the world's record for speed. Plus, this new coaster would not take popularity from Millenium Force, leaving it the tallest coaster in the park.

107mph going over a 225ft (your number there) top hat...

You can test that one yourself.

Ok, you're right, lol. Maybe not 225 feet, but I cant imagine Cedar Point building over 300 feet. Where would they get the money from? Millenium Force cost 25 mill, Wicked Twister caused 12 mill, imagine how much a 400 foot launched coaster would cost! Maybe about 290 feet, :).

I thought WT cost 9 mill

xcelerator tested up to 117mph, and if the launch track was maybe 50ft or so above ground level then it could easily make it over a 420ft top hat.

and who says there is gonna be a top hat at the start of the course?

Why not? They did with Millennium Force, Space Spiral, and Power Tower.
