CP's billboards need to improve.

The biggest problem I have with CP advertising in the Chicagoland area is the free advertising SFGA is getting from it. If I was from the Chicagoland area and saw a billboard saying "World's Tallest and Fastest roller coaster" I would think it would be at SFGA, not a park 300+ miles away.

To the casual observer, sure. But I think that was the point Chitown was originally trying to make. If Cedar Fair wants to advertise in markets with existing amusement parks, it has to make sure its own advertisement stands out. I don't know how many people in the Chicagoland area (non-enthusiasts, of course) would readily recognize the Cedar Point logo or the association between Cedar Fair parks and the Peanuts characters. MetLife... back when there was a MetLife, used Snoopy in their advertisements, too.

Come on fhqwhgads!

The commercials state it's "only" a five hour drive from Chicago. After moving from Sandusky to Naperville, that 350 mile "hop" seems a bit far away from all of my old friends, and if it were as short as they made it out to be, I wouldn't miss them as much as I do. So that seems a biit much.

Well, I used to be able to see TTD from my house, then I moved.
Life's not fair.

Why would you ever move away from Sandusky?!?

Seriously, though... I used to live in Lisle before I moved to Austin. Five hours is nothing. Especially after I waited four hours in line for TTD.
