CP To Get New Ride, 1/2 An Announcement

Hello Coaster Fans Who Are Getting Ready To Enjoy The Last Weekend Of Shows For Almost All Theme Parks,

While driving to get some food early this morning, I was listening to the radio when something intrigued me. I got the second half of a statement from CP. They were talking about the new Castaway Bay and hyping it up. BUT the big thing that caught me was that they said CP WILL be building a new ride for 2005!

What it is, they didn't say, just said announcement coming soon. No mention of it's a flat, coaster, or what. Just that a new ride for 2005 is coming.

We have an Idea of what it is, just waiting for the announcement to make it official.

#1 Steel: Sky Rush
#1 Wood: Voyage
#1Park: Holiday World

We?
Does it fly?
Yeah Neuski. CP Ismyhome speaks for all of us. Didn't you get the memo? Mmk? Don't forget about those TPS reports either.
There are so many CP rumors, I don't know how anyone can be sure. The two most persistant seem to be the flyer and the giant frisbee. There was also one that said CP would have 2 new coasters next year including a new kiddie coaster. Right now I think we have to wait for some delivery or more announcements before we really know anything.

I really doubt they're going to get yet another coaster.

For the past umpteen years, they've been catering to the thrill crowd, which is good in & of itself... but the park really lacks in flats... both quality & quantity. Cedar Point needs a number of new flats to help cater to those we really would rather ride spin & pukes than the high-thrill rollercoasters.

A coaster isn't bad... but it really doesn't help the family crowd, and that's their biggest asset, since they tend to spend the most money at the park.

I sincerely hope it's a few flats... giant, mondial, or otherwise.

Perhaps Huss and CP will surprise us with a completely inverting Giant Frisbee.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
What "station" did you hear this on?

Yeah, Cedar Point staff doesn't get a memo for future attractions until it's actually anounced. The only staff that now what Cedar Point will get next is the board, and the planning department. *** Edited 8/21/2004 9:51:41 PM UTC by MetroJim***

I heard a while back about the giant frisbee, And I had also heard about a floorless coaster but I doubt another coaster this soon.

Enjoy the rest of your day here at Cedar Point ,, Americas Rock n' Rollercoast.
Aren't they getting a Giant Frisbee themed to breakfast? The Frisbee itself will obviously be a waffle of course and it will lure guest in with the smell of hot bacon, maple syrup, and best of all, the all-you-can-eat gravy buffet next to it. That's the memo I got.

Sounds like an ACE breakfast buffet.
No, Danny, they're getting another Pizza themed one, get it right!

-clint, still weirded out by a Pizza themed Giant Frisbee, b.

I thought it was pancakes. For restraints they are going to have some brown stickum in the seats.
Pancakes are so last summer.

So are flyers.

Unless they are gravy boat flyers.

Certain victory.

Mmmm...gravy! The waffle idea is interesting? Are the restraints sausage links? =)
If the restraints were sausage links, CP would spend a lot of money on sausage. I know I'd eat the restraints and be full rather then be safe. +Danny, the memo was about a meeting to discuss the Frisbee. The meeting was to take place during breakfast. You got mixed up somewhere. . . :-D
What did you hear about Castaway Bay? I've been to Splash Lagoon in Erie, PA this past winter, and will be checking out CB this coming winter :)
