CP or PKI?

Wow. You should never be put into the position where you should have to choose between these two wonderful parks. Both are priced about the same, and are both beautifully put together parks, that are both ran very well, although I would give CP the edge slightly in that department. It really comes down to your opinion on rides. Ask yourself these questions:

Do you like Wood coasters more than steel?

If you like wood, then go to PKI. With both beasts and the racer, you'll be hard pressed to find a better collection anywhere. If you like steel though then go to CP. Two B&Ms, Magnum, MF, Gemini, and many more. Both parks have their strong points, and have a pretty decent collection of the other coaster types.

Do you care for flat rides?

While I personally could care less for them, you might like them. CP has tons of them, more than I can remember from my trip in June. PKI hardly has any.

Do you mind rough rides?

All three of PKI's wooden coasters aren't known for being as smooth as glass. Even their steel coasters are pretty rough, but when you have a Vekoma, Togo, and a big old Arrow, what would you expect. Except for King Cobra, they are good rides, they're just rough. CP's coasters, while some have some roughness, are considerably smoother than those that you'll find at PKI.

Do you like airtime?

For some reason it seemed like CP's coasters had more and better airtime than PKI.

If there is any way you can do both parks, do so. They are both two of the best parks you'll find. You've been to CP you say, so really you'd go for MF and stuff you've done before. Imo, MF is quite possibly the greatest feat of engineering mankind has ever achieved. The Beast is about the second greatest, though. Either way you go, you'll have a great time.

Do both!!!!!  That's what I always do!!!  1 1/2 days at PKI and 1 1/2 days at CP!!  But if you must choose only 1 make it CP!

I think that the purpose of the original post was to determine pros and cons for planning a trip to either Cedar Point or Paramount`s Kings Island, not which one is the best.  Also, you shouldn`t wait space just saying CP for a hundred lines!

Cedar Point, definitely.

I don't like PKI too much, I just never have much fun there. CP's just got better coasters, thats my opinion though. And they have a lot more flat rides.

But if you still can't make a decision after reading through this thread, and if you have some extra money & time, go to both.
