Could this be it? EV's new woodie!!!!

http://www.intlamuseall.com/

While glancing at the site of the newly formed International Amusement Alliance, I started looking at pictures of Coaster Works projects. Then I came upon this artist rendering of a wooden coaster layout.

And the abbreviation of the picture is Washington!!!

Check this out: http://www.intlamuseall.com/images/wash.jpg

Update: IT seems to have the same layout as well, I believe this is some pretty striking evidence that are thought to be GCI woodie is actually from Coaster Works!!!

Funny...I was searching the various sources out there today for news on the new coaster at EV. This is a big possibility. Granted, still serious speculation, but great work Vertigo!

Well, I guess all my research finally paid off, can we your opinion in here Mooshnick...I mean Moosh

I've checked all over the IAA's new site for any other sign of random pictures and sure enough every picture I saw on the site was a project of their companies. On Coaster Work's portion of the site, they show four picutre on the left to represent their work, and for the second time on the site this picture appears. Even more evidence.

Vertigo - Judging from the layout I saw when the coaster was approved I [and many others] went under the assumption it was a GCI. Many of my sources claim its GCI. But its possible it isn't, and you may have very well stumbled upon the truth ;-) I guess we'll know for sure when the ride is officially announced.

Nice!! Thank You Vertigo! I'm pretty sure you are correct, in the sense that the rendering matches the plans (on Theme Park Adventures) virtually exactly. It's almost what I envisioned in my head, only even better. I'll make a trip to their FF on Sun Oct 6th, and see if I can find out more.
As I've heard it told (from a reasonable source): The layout we all saw was one proposed design (GCI's) out of many, and was *not* necessarily the final choice for the new wood coaster at SFEV.

and here I was thinking EchoVictor was building us a nice new coaster....;)
I don't quite get why they don't announce it, hasn't this thing been under construction for a year now?
Construction hasn't even started. They released plans early this year and that was all we heard. But if this is it, Enchanted Village can count on getting one heel of a coaster. Can you imagine this cool cyclone woodie through the forest with al the cool laterals of the Diana Beach Cyclone?

What's life if you never get to the PO!NT

Yeah, but I hope the name of the woodie won't be Storm.

I think 'Storm' was the intial name of the DB Huricane and that part of the CoasterWorks site has been up quite awhile. The 'Current Projects' section of the IAA website lists the 'Grey Wolf', Russian coaster, and then a 'Wooden Coaster' which might well be the EV coaster and that little artist rendering is the layout. Liked to have seen the GCI artist rendering of the track layout that they submitted. Wonder if it came down to cost. Guessing GCI is little more expensive than IAA.

I'm wondering about the plans we're referring to. I thought those were the final plans, because those which we saw posted a few months ago are what was actually filed with the city of Federal Way, WA.
So, is it customary to turn into the city all of the different versions of a proposed ride, from all who have bid?
Or is it possible that EV made it's decision, and what we saw is actually what is planned?
Where did the plans before say GCI on them? We saw plans, but as far as I know, it was just a asumption that GCI was making it(If I 'm wrong, can someone back the GCI theory up?) We didn't get any other info, and the rendering seems to fit roughly in with the proposed layout.

I spoke to my GCI contact briefly about it in an e-mail and he stated that he couldnt specifically discuss anything until the announcement is made. Since he basically didnt say no, I would assume they might be doing it. BUT, that layout photo of the Coasterworks woodie is eerily similar to what they presented to the area county commission.

Storm has been up there since late 2001, when was Daina Beach Hurricane put up?!!

The Low Rider woodie is the same stock model of Grey Wolf. Grey Wolf is PAX's woodie the only wooden project that IAA have news about right now, nothing to do with Coaster Works though.

Well where else in Washington could this woodie be for then? The webmaster said it stood for Washington and could not give any more info except for saying that the picture was a sneak preview of a upcoming project. Unless it's for Washington D.C. or the Space Needle, then I couldn't think of any place else besides Enchanted Village.

While I doubt any of these projects will actually make it, there could be two woodies coming to Washington state soon.
No one has publicly declared The Great Northwest to be dead, it's single page website up even still, but the last we heard wasn't too hopeful.
Also, the Tulalip Indian Tribe made mention of a probable area set aside for thrill rides when their new project is complete. The article stopped short of saying it would be an amusement park, so it may very well be an FEC. But then again...
Winlock, WA was the site of a proposed park as well, but no one's heard anything in over 2 years; I assume that it's long dead.
And just which theme park outfit recently procurred 200 acres up there?;)
If the new woodie at EV is built by IAA,which I understand is new name of the company formerly known as CoasterWorks!,we PNW coaster enthusiasts are in for a treat! I rode the Dania Beach Hurricane while on vacation in Florida back in May 2001.I was not dissapointed. It was not quite the airtime machine as the Vancouver PNE Coaster(my #1 woodie) but did give a few good pops of airtime, especially on the last 3 camelbacks.
