Three twenty-somethings are the last survivors in a Spokane radio station's publicity gimmick. The deal? Live aboard Tremors, one of the premier roller coasters at Silverwood, for 34 days and win a car. Contestants get a 30-minute break every three hours and even sleep aboard the coaster at night. Food is delivered by a sponsoring fast food restaurant.

Richard Rodriguez rode The Boss at SFSTL for something like 100 consecutive days last year. I believe that he had like 5 minutes break each hour but was otherwise riding.
I have to give this guy credit. If I were going to marathon a ride for that long, The Boss is definately not the ride I would pick. Don't get me wrong, it's a great ride, but it's also very intense.

Also on the topic, I think I remember a contest going on with consecutive rides on the Wildcat now. NuNu is defending his title against three other men- Duane Robertson, 28, Michael Barillaro, 32, and Derrick Ruegg, 37 are trying to steal NuNu's record. They are going for $2000 and a ski boat along with the title. This is done for celebrating the Wildcat's 75th anniversery.
Ruegg got disqualified for returning late on a seven minute break. Sucks for him, and on the first day too!

I lost my hat on Poison Ivy. How pathetic.

1st of all, Michael W. Moss, your idea for 1 million on Millenium Force is amazing. If they do that, I'm right there, first in line. I just had my fourth ride on it yesterday.
2nd of all, when's the time they're doing this? And also, how do people find out about this stuff?

Magnum is red,
Millenium Force is blue,
I love Wicked Twister,
and Raptor too.
I was at the park when this contest was going on. I got 10 or 12 rides with the contests. They look like they were bord with the coaster. I know I sure wasn't.
How about a marathon on something unbearably rough like Shockwave at SFGAm. Fill the train and last to leave wins a million bucks.
That contest would be unfair... I was fine in the front row of shockwave with NO problems and rode it 32 times in a row.. If I was in the back, I would never EVER do that!
