X keeps on growing. I estimate approximately two weeks before the ride is completed. The 4th attraction, which looks an awful lot like the new Cedar Point attraction, is starting to be assembled. The ride vehicle has also appeared.
At the Berry Farm, work continues on preparing the moving of two flat rides as well as the removal of Windjammer.

Ganrly! X sure marks the spot.
Taipan, that's GNARLY,unless your expressing a word I never heard before. Anyway, consider anyone in southern California to be lucky this season.
(Embarassed look) Thanks for pointing that out, yup I meant Gnarly. :)
I wonder what they will do with all the Windjammer stuff? I wouldn't mind a wheel:)

Windjammer has been sold intact. Some lucky park (Sout America?) is getting it.
X looks so cool. On the Discovery Channel the other night, I saw "Vegas Thrill Rides", and when showing Arrrow building a coaster, they kept making tons of references to X. Just a tidbit of info.

"Getting off of the ride is the hard part"
Dutchman: you are incorrect. Windjammer has not been sold "intact." It's headed for the scrap pile. This info comes directly from park head honcho Jack Falfas as witnessed by 7 others while speaking with him at the park yesterday.
Bruce: you may have your wish...some parts may be saved for auction at next year's Solace.
Windjammer was for sale at $1 million on this Italian Used Amusement Ride site;
www.italintl.com/coaster/index.htm It's the fifth one on the list - C9 Double Coaster.
Hey, wouldn't it be ironic if Windjammer's problems were due to valleying from the strong wind? ;)
Great shots as always, Karl! I love the shot of X from Colossus, especially.

X continues to amaze, each new group of shots includes at least one worth a "Holy #%$@!". It's really neat to have something as highly anticipated as this being built so close to home!
Taipan: I know Windjammer is for sale. But according to Jack it has not been sold. As far as he's concerned it's "heading for the scrap pile" [HIS words, not mine].
I will back Mamoosh up on the Jack Falfas statements... he called me on Wednesday to tell me that it was heading for the scrap pile... the steel equipment arrives on site today to begun dismantling the ride.
Windjammer was a very bad ride i got my head bumped like every second but it looks nice even though the drop is like 60ft.X is looking great.
i care more about the coonstruction of x that ride is gonna be amazing.....
and i care most about not were windjammer is going, but what is going to be in its place.
i can't begin to describe the site of X as you go up the hill and you see it once you get to the top of the hill. what a great site to see while you're in your car in line for the toll booths to park.
Ride construction is going to slow down. They just took down one of the cranes. Hopefully to put up the Thrill Shot.
x construction isnt gonna slow down, its basically all track and a few small supports from here, and that doesnt require two cranes

This is Recockulous! - Adam Carolla
If I had a million dollars, I would buy Windjammer...
That is, so people could come and beat it with baseball bats. ;)
I'm really wondering when testing will begin for Deja Vu. I know they have the train on it and it should start testing by this week, maybe it'll open by next week. X will probably take a little longer than 2 weeks to finish since they only hae one crane and the tracking will be pretty high off the ground. Hmm....doesn't sound like much fun for a steel worker that is afraid of hieghts.
