Consecutive Rides

I had the pleasure of riding 1 seat in front of Sean for those 367 laps on GASM at SFOG.

33 on Dueling Dragons. All but the first two in the back row of Fire.

518 coasters ridden but who's counting...............?
I don't have a number but I rode the Enterprise at Geauga Lake (aka Witches Wheel) for probably 15-20 minutes in a row without it stopping. I was an extra while they were filming a commercial one year.

It was the first ride we hit and the day was partly cloudy. The director was looking for a particular shot so he just kept us up there. Most were screaming to be let off but we just kept spinning. When we finally did come down a lot of kids just ran for the fence and puked their guts out. I didn't throw up but I wanted to and I was done for the day. They filmed several more rides that day but I just carried stuff.

So, if that was my 15 minutes of fame...it was memorable.

Twice in a row on Medusa at SFGAdv.

Six in a day on Steel Force.

Oh yeah, I'm hardcore! ;)

No one here took part in the Gemini 100 that a bunch of GTTP'ers did? (I guess now they'd be PointBuzz'ers)

Consecutive rides:

9 on Blue Streak (Conneaut Lake) (11 total that day)

7 on Skyliner (Lakemont)

5 on Kraken (6 total that day)

5 in a row on many.

Others:

11 rides on Phoenix and 8 on Twister at Knoebels (but not consecutive on either)

In one day at Hersheypark last season: 5 on Comet, 5 on sooperdooperlooper, 5 on Great Bear, 5 on Wildcat, 5 on Lightning Racer - Thunder, 5 on Lightning Racer - Lightning, 5 on Sidewinder, 1 on Wild Mouse, 1 on Trail Blazer *** Edited 7/1/2004 6:39:48 PM UTC by SLFAKE***

SLFAKE...two items. First, Skyliner is Lakemont's "other woodie", Starliner is MSAP's John Allen gem. Second, LOVE that sig, thought of using it myself...:)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

HARD to satisfy....;)

mOOSH also held "loose articles" while bASS and I scord the last ten or so rides on SDL before closing...Antons After Dark! :)

The "worst" mini-marathon though was the half-dozen or so laps on Fire Dragon in a freezing downpour....hey, they let us ride it THROUGH the station...finally, I succumbed to common sense...;)

Corrected.

I'm getting my ---liners mixed up. I was just at MSAP last week and now I have to stop and think "Sky or Star... Sky or Star..."

I broke my marathon record today with about 20 rides on V2.1 in an hr. and a half. Admittedly it had nothing to do with the ride, though. It was the first time it had opened in about a month, but the real reason I kept poaching was because the ride op on one side was *really cute* and I kept talking to her as she checked me. ;)

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

the last day the Steel Phantom was open, my friend and I rode it 18 times in a row, we had to stop do to the fact that i think i lost most of my mind.
My best one day totals"

The Gemini 100 :)

82 on Magnum during Millennium Mania

74 on Magnum the second day of the 2001 season.

16 on Dragster

Colossus at Magic Mountain: 50 in one day. Before you laugh and ask why I did it, I'll point out that this was in 1979 (?) when Colossus was still a good ride and also before SF bought the park.

Revolution at Magic Mountain: 46 in one day in 1976 or 1977. No lunch, just water at a convenient fountain on the way back in.

4 hours straight on BoulderDash. Would have been longer, but I had to pee :)

Didn't count the actual number of rides.

My most notable totals go way back to the Crystal Beach Comet (when it was actually still at CB). The WNY Coaster Club used to help the park "break in" the ride every season. Trains would get stuck on the track, and have to be pushed and pulled to get them moving again. We would ride with lap bars up, so when it got stuck, we could hop out and push. Hopping back in was the tricky part. Anyway, once it got rolling, we would ride all day to help work in the grease, etc. One year I logged 110 consecutive rides in one day. Those were the days!

I don't know how some of you were able to do so many rides on multi-element coasters. I can only ride things like Alpengeist about 5 times in a row before my head hurts and I feel queezy. *** Edited 7/5/2004 5:01:13 PM UTC by Coaster Junkie***

119 rides on the Silver Comet @ MFI, opening day last year... w/ one little break at around 54... probably the best day of coaster riding, ever!

going through the station w/o having to get off... priceless :)

sadly i was working there opening day this year, otherwise i'm almost positive i would have gotton more -- it was bad weather and NOBODY was in the park; the MFI curse continues...

and 1 on Goudrix.

Poor Goudurix, where has all the love for Vekoma loopers gone ;) Then again you may have brain damage after a marathon on it. *** Edited 7/5/2004 7:07:19 PM UTC by Cameraman***

11-12 consecutive rides on Windjammer Surf Racers back in '97. You have to understand that even in the summertime, crowds were lackluster for Knott's until Cedar Fair stepped in later that year.
I also did the 367 laps on the GASM at SFoG last June on a wheel seat. Still have to thank Sean for the padding, which I still have to this day. I think that would be 248 miles if I recall, maybe Sean recalls the milage or the few hours in the rain.

Cameraman,

Yes. Drain bamage could result in one ride on the Gekoma Voudrix.

Dave,

You still have that foam huh? Save it as I think Chris J. may have eaten the rest of it. (you know I am kidding Chris.)I do forget the milage but I do it was a lot.
