Consecutive Rides

Opening Day this season at SFA I got on Roar 21 times. Most coming at the end of the night cause the park was dead. We just had to switch seats. We got 16 consecutive laps.
23 in a row (35 for the day on the whole) on Nitro in April of 2002 -- of course, I mean "in a row" to mean that I never got off the train. I was simply allowed to reride over and over again until a long enough line formed that I had to go wait. That was a good day. :)

At both this years and last years Rip Roarin' Rampage, I rode Rampage 30+ times during the ERTs(You can score a lot in 3 hours). As for during normal park hours, just recently, I rode the Outlaw at Adventureland 10-15 times in a row and that was literally staying on the coaster, as there was no one else in the station for the last hour and a half of the night.
I once stuck it out on the MB Pavilion Hurricane for about 15 laps, until I was interupted by a spinal injury or something of the sort.

9 times in a row on Arkansas Twister in 2000.

I was asked to describe Deja Vu in one word. The word? AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!
Last season at WoF me and my friend went 30 times in a row on Mamba. It was fun but I had a heck of a headache aftrwards.

My top 3...

The Beast, 22

Thunderhead, 18

Delerium, 16

This is why I love going to PKI on weekdays. Continuous riding.

25 laps on Talon yesterday:) with no breaks. Could have kept going, but I had a family function that I needed to get home for:(.

I know Sean F. got over 300 rides on GASM oG during his 30 hr. marathon. There's a TR somewhere. That's insane.

After one ride, I had definitely had enough.

ApolloAndy,

You beat me to it. You are correct. It was 367 laps to be exact, but who's counting. =:^)

Other sick rides I have done way too much were 113 on Twisted Sisters, 101 drops on Dungeon Drop at SFAW, 56 rides on Kumba, 47 on Raging Bull, 21 on Son of Beast, 20 on Millennium Force, 19 on Mantis, and 1 on Goudrix.

40-something on Phantom's Revenge, during a Discovery Channel shoot. Lori, you remember the exact number?

Greg I do believe the magic number that day was 44. What a great day that was.

1 on Goudrix was a marathon?

I did 2 in a row on Volcano the year it opened. The line was over 4 hours each time. I got off, went to the restroom, and got back in line.

Sounds like 1 on Goudurix is something akin to 1 on RC48...a marathon unto itself...;)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

7 on Greezed Lightnin'

10 on Twisted Twins

Slow day at Sfkk that day! :)

16 rides on Demon at SFGam I had a really big headache after words *** Edited 6/29/2004 6:51:36 AM UTC by Colin Fisher***
16 times in a day on the original Steel Phantom. That my friends, is a well-earned headache ;)

*sigh* How I miss it ...

Most in a row is 5 on Wicked Twister and Superman:UE/Steel Venom. How can you people stand to ride the same exact thing that many times in a row?!? I get bored.

ApolloAndy,

One ride on Goudrix was more than enough to consider it a marathon IMO. I honestly don't know how the park continues to operate it. This is coming from someone that tries to look at the positive side of any ride.

Brett,

During the 1998 Coaster Con, I, as well as the poster TCKR, took 15 rides in a row one evening on Steel Phantom, then 15 more the very next morning. You should have seen the markings we got from doing that. We were proud of them. =:^)

The main one I remember is back in 1999 at Holiday World riding the Raven about 7 times. Back about the second day after opening, there wasn't any crowd. The crew just asked everyone as it came back into the station if they wanted to get off or stay on. I stayed on for about 7 times before getting a headache.

Pobably a few others but that is the main one I know.

My best for this year was 20 times in the back seat on the Raven without getting off. I love early weekdays in the season!

Of course when I was young and crazy I did an open to close 8 hour session on Greezed Lightnin at SFAW with only one bathroom break. I felt that ride for a week afterwards but it was a blast!

Have Fun!
