Congrats to SFWoA

I must congratulate SFWoA. Last weekend, my high school marching band went to SFWoA. We all had a great experience. It was the first time I had ridden X-Flight and I was amazed at how smooth and thrilling it was. Anyway, I've heard a lot of bad things about WoA, but they weren't true the day I was there. There was absolutely no litter around the park. The ride-ops were very friendly, especially the ones on X-Flight and Raging Wolf Bobs. The only problem was the food. I really think they need to improve the food more, lower food prices, and get a larger variety. There were two trains on Batman, but I'm not sure about the Villian. X-Flight's other train was laying the grass by the lift and Serial Thriller's was on the transfer track (it looked like it was still in rehab). The only rides that were down were the sky tower ride, S:UE, Dr. Hyde's Nasty Fall, and Texas Twister. This park has really cleaned itself up from previous years. Keep up the good work SFWoA!

I must say the park is really shaping up and working towards its potential. Hopefully all the positive comments I've heard so far stay throughout the season. Once the park goes fulltime, I'd expect all coasters to run more than one train also. I agree with you though, the XF crew rocks this year. And I know the RWB crew has a good leader.
I'm seeing a great season so far this year. Good job SFWoA! Maybe they were ready for that Hyper this year!
Even though a hyper is always great for a park to invest in, I really dont think SFWoA absolutely needs a hyper to compete successfully.

With the ride park, animal park, and water park all available for one price, all they need to do is step up the customer satisfaction rate.

Bottomline: They have all the assets for success.

Arena football has arrived in the Windy City. Go "Chicago Rush"

Sounds about on par with SFNE's improvements this year.

Well, I hope I have as good of a time two weeks from now when I visit. I've also heard nothing but bad things about this place, hopefully the good changes they've made this year can be maintained.

As for X-Flight being smooth, I can't believe that. It is a Vekoma after all... ;) I'm kidding.

And another thing I forgot to mention was a BIG land clearing beside the parking lot past Villian, almost by Raging Wolf Bobs.

The retracked part of RWB is slow, but smooth. The original track needs replaced BADLY! The new G-Trains help also.

If they could, they should get a giga coaster instead of a hyper coaster. I would like to see another giga coaster besides MF and steel dragon 2000. X-Flight is smooth just like Superman: Ultimate Flight.
I give SFWOA a lot of praise for what they have done so far. Keep it up!

So Derrick, does that mean that you've ridden Steel Dragon2000 and Millennium Force? I know it's so boring only having two 300ft. tall coasters on two different continents.

I'm confused about who's being sarcastic.

Derrick: We would all like to see them build a giga. We would all like to see them build a strata. We would also all like to see them build a 700' coaster. We would also like to own our own theme park in New York. Bottom line: Not going to happen.

Are you referring to the fact that S:RoS took 11 months to get its second train back? That sounds about par for the course at SFWoA.

Lots of improvements I saw were simple things like new measurement signs which work very well, the employees seemed freindlier, and things were easy to read. However, the thing that still baffels me is that even with larger lines, that park just could not run multiple trains on anything but Batman.

Also, i confronted what looked like a manager about a safty violation, and when i went back at a later time, the violation was still active.

If you weren't sure if it was a manager or not, maybe you should have contacted guest services and made sure you got a real manager.

Coasters that can run two trains: X-Flight, Batman, Villain, Double Loop, Big Dipper Serial Thriller.
Coasters that *should have two trains running: X-Flight, Batman, Villain, Serial Thriller.

I am hopeful that all the above mentioned coasters will be 2-trainin by Memorial Day.

Thanks for the positive comments. I hope when you have positive things to say you go to Guest Services just like you do when you have negative. The park likes to hear them both. Obviously one more then the other though.

X-Flight and RWB have got to have the two best crews this season so far.

No, the fact that they have cleaned up the park a lot this year and much more.

I was on my way to guest relations when a chaperone stopped me and told me to get on the bus to go back to the hotel (Inn at Six Flags- I would highly recommend it to anyone planning visiting SFWoA. Friendly service, 2 arcades, restaurant that has very good food, a pool, jungle gym fo the kiddies, and a miniature golf course).

I'm going to compose an e-mail or letter and send it to them this weekend.
