At least Knott's didn't make SB's front seat queue like Xcelerator's! Talk about excessive and slow moving!
Going off what gomez said, that is one of the reasons they picked this particular location for the ride. Very little ground work had to be done, which helped to hold down the building costs. Mamba went way over budget and I would imagine they are trying really hard to not have that happen again.
The best news though is that Halloweekends is expanding again next season. More info on that later.
P18, I'm not sure. Perhaps that was what they had to work with at the time. Those shirts came out the same time the ride was announced. Why they didn't use one of the other coasters from the chain or even the concept art is beyond me. However the newer ones do not have the Arrow style track in the background.
Ok, some people do not get that yes, it has some elements of Talon, but look, is it a clone? No, and the theme of the station will fit the area well, so I like it no matter what the haters say.

It appears as though the first and second cars are permanently linked together, as I suspected. We had a discussion in another thread about why the first two cars seemed to allign during the course on Beemers.
Second, and more importantly, is the use of a brush used for electricity on the top of the car. This is the first time I've seen a B&M invert use this. The Flyers use this brush to activate a motor that locks the cars in the flying position. I wonder if B&M is switching the restraint locks to the fluid motion type Intamin uses.
The brush isn't really much of a brush at all, that's just the name for it. It is the metallic object on the left side that has three strips.
You can see the similar setup on Wicked Twister's trains:

The three "pegs" make contact with a bar that drops down in the station. The power allows the harnesses to be unlocked.
In this photo, we can see that Silver Bullet does have the copper "Bus Bars" on top of the cars. So the actual locking mechanism is probably the same as it always has been on B&M's (The traditional "click" into the lowest position), but it looks like at some point B&M swiched over from the mechanical unlocking of the harnessess to electrical unlocking of the harnessess. *** Edited 2/17/2006 4:28:44 AM UTC by Fun***
