Concerts/Six Flags

Green Day & Blink 182 came to Six Flags Darien Lake during the first weekend in June... I heard they completely rocked.

The next big rock concert there is Creed, but for 50 bucks a ticket... I think I'd have to pass, speaking of which, nobody mentioned it... but they are also a former Christian musical band with Christian roots!

Other note-worthy bands coming to Six Flags Darien Lake:

* Rush
* Tom Petty
* Poison
* Lenny Kravitz
* Nickelback
* Dave Matthews Band
* Kenny Rogers
* The 'Hip!

Ok, ok... maybe some of those weren't all that note worthy ;) Even so, Darien Lake has the best line-up of bands than any other park in the country!

....Summer is only a short 91 days long. How much of that time are you going to use at the amusement parks??

I like some of Jars of Clay... Audio Adrenaline is pretty hopping too.

Hey man. Wanna buy some weed? Crack? Freepass on Millennium Force? I got the hook up...

Gospelfest at SFMM is usually really good. Back in the day SFMM used to have lots of regular concerts but after one TLC concert got cancelled lots of people ransacked the park in anger.

Usually for Gospelfest you pay to get in and then pay one or two dollars for each ticket for the shows.

Thank you for backing me up.

Planned parks: Astroland, Knoebel's, Hersheypark, SFNE, SFGadv,SFGam,CP,PKI,PKD,PCW,HW,Indiana Beach,SFWOA,SFKK,SFDL,SFSTL,Lakemont,DelGrosso's... Need I say more?

Dawg Byte - Thats almost the exact same concert lineup that we have up here, but instead of the concerts going on at a theme park, there going on just alittle south at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center) and btw - Blink182/Green Day were awesome!!!!

Broaden my musical horizons? What the hell do you know about me? You're talking to someone who is going to see Jewel and KMFDM in the same week. I think my horizons are pretty damn broad.

Jars of Clay, POD and Crud are sellouts (the latter of which has a reputation for being seriously high on himself, that's real humility) who've left their beliefs out of their music to sell records. A "Christian band" that scores hits that have nothing to do with their belief system hardly counts as spreading the Gospel, or makes anyone a Christian music fan. (Though I don't think it matters, since the only one of them that's any good is Jars of Clay.) Amy Grant got lucky with a couple of non-Christian pop songs. DC and Newsboys just outright suck.

Broaden that.

"As far as I can tell it doesn't matter who you are. If you can believe, there's something worth fighting for..." - Garbage, "Parade"

DC Talk and Delerious? probably are more popular since they don't have your adittude, try Annointed or Phase7 if you want. do I care if you like them or not? No. They have talent and with their popularity they don't have to prove it to you. Like whatever kind of music you like, but that doesn't mean they suck. I can say that I have absolutely no liking for Blink 182, Pantera, Slipknot, or P.O.D., but I have nothing against them except when Pantera crosses the line with prejudicy. Still, I may not enjoy their music, but they still have talent and came play pretty well. If you think all is crap, them let us listen to your album.

hmmm...Jars of Clay "let their beliefs out of their songs to sell records".

A bit of a hasty generalization there. Actually, it's basically just untrue.

2. Vertical Velocity
3. AE Backwards
4. Viper
5. Raging Bull

for the last time, creed is not a christian band, nor have they ever been. why do you have to sing about screwing a bunch of women and doing drugs to be a non-christian band? you know, there is a difference between spirituality and finding what you believe and just plain praising God
