Combining Coasterbuzz & Pointbuzz memberships

I was just thinking since so many people belong to both clubs, could you combine the cost of joining so I could send one payment and become a member of both sites? That way, you wouldn't have to do a separate charge for both? Just a suggestion. I'm not sure how plausible it would actually be.

I could see it happening for say $40/month if it were to happen. Why no price break? Probably because although they are run by the same person/company, they are seperate entities. Besides, PointBuzz is now part Jeff's and part Walt's. They split that income down the line (I'd assume, after bandwidth costs). It would be unfair to that partnership to have the joint membership thing.

Besides, I doubt that all the memberships combined pay for more than a month or two of bandwidth a year.

I work for a company which runs the largest headphone hi-fi community on the net today( head-fi.org), and let me tell you -- it's open due to our love for audio hi-fi. The paid memberships don't cover the bandwidth costs for a year, and that's the most expensive part. (At least I don't think so. I'm not in billing.) Everyone who runs a community probably has the same issues. No one really thinks they will make money with the community. They do it for the love of the subject matter.

They are two different properties, and as mentioned, PointBuzz is not 100% mine. It would be impossible to figure out what percentage of revenue from club memberships should go to Walt if there was cross-over.
