Coasters with Ironic factors

One ironic factor I saw is that the AIR at Alton Towers has a station BELOW ground. Kinda trivial, but ironic non the less. Anyone else can think of anything similar?

-----------------

Blue Streak has that little tower thing right over the crest of the first drop.  I find that rather odd.  It could be there for sound reasons but there is only a few boat decks next to it.

Also the track is curved a little in the Blue Steak's station.
Ok, it's not really ironic to the coaster's name like AIR and its underground station is...but since we are talking about stations, how about at Kennywood on the Racer how you end up on the opposite side of the station that you started on? Now that's weird.

I think he meant that AIR is ironic since air is above and all around us, but not below us and the station for AIR and a portion of the coaster is below ground level.  An ironic thing about Blue Streak is that it wasn't always painted blue.  When it was built, it was natural wood color but i'm not sure how long it stayed that way (few years at least).

ST chick, that's called a "mobius" coaster, I think only two (maybe three) are left in the world.  I think another one is in England.  John Miller, coaster designer extraordinaire...

ST Chick and Gatorwoodie..another mobius coaster is the Diadarasaurus in Osaka, Japan.  It didn't start that way, though.  It was a racer until 98-99 when it was converted to a single track.  Very weird, overly long (if such a thing can be said), very loud, and just plain scary given the track design, which is like old railroad track.

Ucdaap42... You are right in your assessment.  Irony is defined as: The use of words to express something different from and often opposite to their literal meaning.  Contrary to popular belief, irony isn't about literal opposites.  It is about the assessment that something is something it is not.  'Ironic' by Alanis Morissette is not a song with any irony in it, but the title itself is ironic because it refers to itself as being ironic, yet nothing within it is irony.  How interesting....

Take a rubber band, and cut it so it is a rubber 'string.'  Twist it 1/2 of the way, and re-attach it.  Now when you follow one side of the band with your finger, it will end up on the other side.  Do it again, and it will end up again on the opposite side.
In regards to the coaster, they have a section of track that goes under or over the other track side to get to the opposite station, and vice versa.
BTW, Good one Jeremy!

MontaƱa Rusa in Mexico City is also a mobius coaster. Just think of it as one giant track if it were to be streched out.  They get the name mobius after a 3D figure, called the mobius strip, that has one face, one edge, and no corners.

No No No!!! That's the whole "mystery" of the ride;  it never crosses over itself!  It's one continuous track which never crosses, yet ends up on the opposite side at the end of the ride.

Well...I haven't ridden it so disregard the "wisdom" of my comments, however that would be the way it 'should' work.  There is some practical answer, though.  It may seem a mystery, but I imagine if you inspect it, you will find the answers you seek.  "Look deep, my friend...."

at SFGA, Iron Wolf is made out of steel.  Shockwave has absolutly nothing to do with New Orleans (its located in an area themed to New Orleans).  at several SF parks, Mind Eraser doesn't affect your brain (there isn't that much headbanging).

The simplest way I can explain the Racer thing (and it really isn't complicated to make a coaster like this, play with RCT for a few minutes) is:

Think of when you leave the station, both trains turn away from each other. When you come back around and meet for the lift you are now on the opposite side of the train you're racing then when you left.
