Coasters unlikely to be seen again

This season alone we've had Nitro, Expedition Ge Force, and X (don't know if thats it) and the last few seasons we've had, Milennium Force, Superman R:OS, Raging Bull, Apollo's Chariot, Son of Beast, Steel Dragon 2k, Goliath, Titan, and there are rumors that more 4d's and B&M hypers are on the way.

Aren't Millenium Force and SD2K the new, up and coming Giga coasters? But no, I don't think Hypers are going out.

I disagree with you when you say that we won't see many more floorless, I think it is a great coaster design that many people like and I wouldn't be surprised if B&M made a lot more of them.

Let's hope suspended and racers come back. They are 2 great unique experience. The suspended produces a truly free flying and swooping experience the rigid inverteds cannot. The racer mulitplies the intensity of the speed of the train as you feel the other train rushing feet apart from you, as well as the fun of the race. You still see a lot of cheering people on a racing coaster that is racing (which is getting rare these days).

Especially since Disney's Animal Kingdom is only getting a dueling, racing Reverchon crazy mouse next year.

And hypers are nowhere near extinction. Most of the Paramount parks should be getting a steel version in the coming years and there are rumors around about SFStL, SFWoA, and MA possibly getting one very soon.

I think of the most recent designs, the reverse whoa belly, space diver, and suspendeds are almost definitely out. All three could be great if parts of the design were improved.
I'm not here to defend or explain myself.
I'm just sharing my thoughts.
Besides peeps most of you have mis-quoted me anyway.
Not really a coaster, but S&S Towers.
I sort of agree with the S&S towers. Especially when S&S is heading out to new types of thrills, like their TA2K and Thrill Shot slingshot ride. Plus, almost all major parks nowaday has some sort of tower thrill-ride. Save the Busch parks.
Well SFStL still doesn't have a tower ride. That kind of disgusts me since most of the corporate parks at least have an old school first generation free fall tower if not a brand new type of tower ride. Hopefully it means SFStL will get one of the new types that was installed down in Georgia this year.
I hate to say it, but I think suspendeds may be out. Thats really sad considering how much I love these rides!! But their time has come and gone....:-(
Also, if I remeber correctly SFStL had, at one time an old Intamin drop ride (like Demon Drop at CP), but was relocated elsewhere.
I think floorless is the next big thing, sortof like inverteds during the early 90's. Who knows!?!?

IS THERE A BETTER PARK THAN HOLIDAY WORLD??

I THINK NOT!!!!!

Although for many years we said that suspended coasters were an endangered species, I think now it is safe to say that they are extinct. With the exception of the still-standing suspended coasters I think that there will be no more of them ever made again. Inverted coasters stole their fire and parks began to realize that inverts were more well-liked by park guests.

Unless B&M start making suspended roller coasters... ;)

Stand-up's are gone. I think more impulses will be made. They'll be like the boomerang.

"Welcome back Raptor riders. How was your flight?"
I think we may still see more stand-ups. There are a lot of parks that never got one, and although I've never rode it, Riddlers Revenge seems to get positive feedback. If they continue to build them like that we may see a couple more. I think suspended coasters are done. BGW being my home park, I love BBW but it doesn't pack the punch that an inverted can. I also agree that sit-down loopers with less than 4 four inversions have seen their day. This doesn't mean they will never be built, but it will be rare.
How about the Togo like Viper at Sfgadv.I think i heard someone say ther are only two in the U.S.?? I think with all the trouble viper has besides being a very rough ride, parks would be crazy to even think of buying one.

I see no more reason to build boomerangs, at least in their origonal state. Suspendeds are cool, but seem to be "replaced" with an invert. I think that S&S towers are not on their way out, it seemst that they have become true theme park standards.
