coasters that hurt

Son of Beast and definetly the original OL: FoF before they changed the restraints.

Son of Beast is rough...so what? That's the way I like it!
AT SFGAm, I came off Iron Wolf bowlegged! Lets just leave it at that! But Shockwave by far is the worst.
yeah I second that soxman Iron wolf and Shockwave are both very rough headbanging rides.
Revolution @ the Mountain! Get rid of those OTSR's!!!

What would life be without roller coasters? A big ball of poo!!!

Skyrider (TOGO stand up: PCW), followed by Top GUn (Vekoma SLC: PCW)

One sad story that ruined someone's interest on roller coasters:

One day my cousin and I got into PCW's Vekoma SLC. I had no problems but he was very banged, lost his glasses, and a neck pain. Vekoma has ruined his interest on roller coasters almost completely.

"Son of Beast was sure a rough one, I sat in the back, has anyone ridden in the front?"

I've ridden just about everywhere on the SOB. I ride it now only because it's the tallest and fastest coaster that KI has, but many times I start to regret it when my stomach starts feeling like it's being thrown around. But some advice: don't sit on a wheel. I personally prefer the back best. I rode the SOB the day it opened. It seemed to be so smooth on that day, I was impressed! Then it went downhill. To answer your question directly: the front is fine if you don't sit on a wheel! If you know you might get a ride that hurts too much, ride the front seat. Who knows, the Son of Beast may be having a good day.

Also, Flight of Fear doesn't hurt anymore, but I was really bored on it. I don't like the new seats, either. I don't think it's necessary to have your feet secured like that. The lights were on and it was too slow. I think PKI compromised too far, but considering many people were getting hurt and they were getting sued for this ride (or at least that's what I heard on the news), I can understand why.

The Beast is still #1 there!

Shockwave at SFGAm hurts a lot. The OTSR are killer when your head is banging on them.

Don't Fight It: Ride It! Raging Bull

V2 is rough in the middle of the train when you do the spin. If you don't have your head against the back of the seat you end up getting some head banging going on...

I Will Destroy Vekoma For All Of Their Evil Hypercloning!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't get mad, well, ok, sometimes, but I DO tough it out! I also get tired of getting bruises! I racked up a few this summer, including a HUGE one on my thigh. OW! Getting on the Magnum with a bruise already on my thigh is sporty enough, I think! You all know how Magnum ends and where that bar comes down hard. I wasn't looking forward to that part and was glad when it was over! There just comes a point when a person needs a break from getting bumps and bruises! I'm pretty tall and many rollercoasters are not very accomodating to me! Rides like MF and Apollo's Chariot are awesome! I absolutely love the roughness of the Beast! I'll sit anywhere on the Beast. I wish all of the wooden coasters could have the old-fashioned one-piece bar like the Phoenix has at Knoebels. How great that would be!
I would say Jokers Jinx.
Big Dipper at WoA- I felt gut punched after that ride
Serial Thriller WoA- I will never ride another SLC
PGA's grizzly and SFGAm's shockwave. Those are the 2 worst coasters I've ever been on.  Grizzly coz it's boring and rough w/ no airtime, and Shockwave coz the ride's just plain out poorly designed.  and ive been on the original Steel Phantom, loved it.  (note: if u look up the lift on SW from the front car, the track's horribly twisted, as in not straight.  then you walk across the park and see Raging Bull  :)

SOB hurts bad man I thought I crushed a couple of ribs on that ride.

"What's up from out of town"
I agree that Manhatten Express is an extremely rough ride.  If you want a guaranteed headache, take the last seat on the train. The head-banging is almost uncontrollable.
The Thunderhawk at Dorney is brutal it hurts so bad, has anyone else been on it?
Shockwave SFGAm isn't bad.  Next time you ride it get on the yellow train, it's the smoothest there is.  The worst ride would have to be Iron Wolf. No matter how high or low the seat is you still walk off with whiplash and a headache.
The Texas Giant. My stomach hurts after that ride from it being punched into the freakin lap bar.
