Coasters That Go over Water!?

I can name a few for: Corkscrew VF, Millennium Force, Mantis, Cedar Creek Mine Ride Iron Dragon, The Raven, V2 Vertical Velocity and Batman Knight Flight. Just to name a few ;).

And reguarding Excalibur at Valleyfair it doesnt go over any water at all just land.

Sometimes Excalibur goes UNDER water :), but too bad no one gets to ride it when it does

(Just to let you know, there was a ;) next to excalibur, so that generally refers to a joke, not ment to be taken seriously)

Coaster I wnet on in 2001 that go over water:

Boulder Dash

When did Boulder Dash go over water? It went by water, i must've missed that. Was it near the turnaround? I know it goes near the lake and by the River Rapids but where is the water?

Also, S:ROS at SFDL does, all of the four big ones at BGW(Cobra Roll on Alpengeist and that river near the turnaround on Apollo), Dueling Dragons, Hulk, Gold Rusher(PC), and others too. I cant really notice the water on coasters though. Especially on Dueling. I think it makes the helix on Gold Rusher more fun though:).

Lake Compounce: New England's Holiday World

SKC's Cobra Roll is over water, and in some parts it goes over a creek that is under it.

SKC = Superman Krypton Coaster

MillenniumForce6279, I know you were just joeking. The only time Excalibur goes over water is when it floods in the spring time. This year we havent had a lot of snow so no water this season ;).

Monstre at La Ronda

Dueling Dragons, both, go over water except for the station.
And, of course, The Matterhorn which goes in the water for real.

I remember back in the day...(got that old-timey feel)...rode a coaster at Silver Dollar City, not sure if it was a "real" coaster or if it was a powered ride, and I tink it was called Blazing Fury....excellent themed dark ride even if it wasn't a coaster, and it had a real splash-down at the ending. I was a kid then, not like now...;) but I must've ridden 4 or 5 times that day...
The Monster at La Ronde does not go over water. Beside it, yes.. which can be said for most of the rides at La Ronde since it's on an island with a lake in the middle. The Monster is an amazing ride though.. highly under appreciated.

V2 can't be compared to any of the rides in SFGAm!The Vertical Drop was amazing!

A lot of you are just mentioning rides with small manmade lakes as part of the theming. I don't think that counts as "going over the water." If it goes over a natural lake or river, then it's more like it. And just because it traverses it once, it doesn't mean much either. It has to have a significant section actually over the water (i.e. support pillars in the water) as an added thrill.
