coasters at SFMM smartly located...

Just for the record, SFMM is in no way flat. lol

Oh yeah.... what I *meant* was, SFMM in no way randomly expanded to include the hill.... it was deliberately planned around it.

I see what you're saying. You're comparing parks who's layouts are more or less the same as when they were built compared to parks who's layouts were developed over a period of time. PKI is really a combonation of both, with the main loop of the park remaining, but with the Action Zone and Water Works ad ons.

I agree. The locations of the 5 major rides a Magic Mountain are well placed in comparison to each other. It does keep guests spread out around the park...But like LoadedG said, since the arrival of X, Viper has produced a very big line on a normal day compared to before X's existance it was a walk on every second of the day. The new coasters have brought the park to a higher level of what is expected of a thrill park, and I know that whenever Magic Mountain add another coaster, they will continue in what seems to be a great upcoming tradition that the park has begun to follow.
I think other parks in the SF chain that are well spread out with their main rides would include SFoT and SFStL. Oh and one last one SFFT, especially now with 3 down (LOL)

GO HUSKERS!

This brings me to thinking the SFNE has a pretty good layout (besides the fact there is a dead end wherever you go). But, with the opening of B:DK, I think that the South end will become a little crowded.

SFNE drops the "floor" on SFNE for 2002! Visit www.geocities.com/sfneguy for info. and pics of SFNE, including NEW constr. pics of B:DK!!!

I disagree. THe area by cyclone is deserted, Sometimes I cnt even find my way into the western area, and the area by Scream and thunderbolt is totally overcrowded.

That's exactly what makes for a bad layout.

Though the layout is good, a lot of the planning goes into where there is the most free space to build a new coaster. Sometimes it's just luck.

Yes, SFMM is nicely done as for major ride placements. I would like to see Hurricane Harbor demolished for a coaster and some flat rides put into there, maybe even a good dark ride.

Aleen6E6, no one in their right mind would demolish their waterpark for rides, especially a Hurricane Harbour. Just think about how much money they're making on locker rentals, tube rentals, and admissions.

The word "definitely" is definitely the most misspelled word on the buzz.

I agree with you ravenguy98. Never in my right mind did I ever think of all those hills to walk at SFMM. I from Cincinnati and PKI is my home park. Yes, PKI is flat, but definately not SFMM. Don't let the park map fool anyone, if you haven't been.

The mountain itself makes for a really lovely part of the park, though. Its beautiful.

I gues that is why it is called Magic Mountain
