CoasterMania 2004

There haven't been any posts about this year's CoasterMania (and posting this at the end of one of the 2003 threads would be outdated), but just a heads up that Wicked Twister has been scratched from Saturday's ERT lineup -- replaced by Mantis.

Here's to another great day of coasters and taffy!

Hopefully it won't be a *soaky* Coastermania. :-)

Then again a little rain usually clears out the park a bit.

Right now it's 40% chance of rain on Saturday.

I just hope that TTD stays on the agenda for morning ERT, unlike last year. :-(

I can't believe that they took off Wicked Twister. Do you know why?

Unfortunatly, I think we may have Ivan making a visit to cedarpoint this weekend.

Bleh, no use worrying about it.

Now where did I put my heavy-duty raincoat/goggles.....riding MForce in the rain is not too pleasant without the proper "gear".

CM is just Saturday right? I'm going up on Sunday and hoping to avoid the CM crowds.

Hey if Ivan's in town, all the better! But if WT really is down the rest of the season, I'm gonna be hella-bummed, especially if it's raining ... gotta love that coaster in the rain! Not a bad idea on the goggles Tina ;)

Forget the Coastermania crowds. Beware the Boat Show crowds!

Did I miss somewhere that someone said WT is down for the season? I thought it just said not ERT???

Brett, Coastermania is from 6:30am till........11pm I think? (don't have the flyer on me right now). All day and evening Saturday.

I just gotta get my friend (who's never been to CP before) on just ONE Dragster ride. Just one.

How do you know WT is axed from the line up? And what is this boat show someone mentioned?

I've had one TTD credit and am hoping to get another TTD credit. Looking forward to black and blue souvenirs from Magnum as well.

Hmmm, I got that from Mean Streak last time, not nice a smooth(er) Maggie!

You are right about the time.

I have the same prob., I am taking a friend who has never been to CP, and I HAVE to get him on TTD.

The latest forecast (5pm Tuesday) has the rain out of the forecast....Hopefully that holds true!

How about this 5 am check in....I'll be getting up at 3:30 am , but it will be worth it to get in the dark morning rides...The evening ride time should be great too because its getting darker earlier...........I'm doing my anti rain dance..

Anybody going to spend the night friday want to get together for dinner. Would be cool to get all the coasterbuzzers together.

When you start riding, it is not dark out. At least not last year, the ERT starts at 6:30. It is awesome to get early ERT in the morning.

PS Get enough sleep/rest, you WILL BE tired by the time night ERT starts.

This is a bummer as my son is 52" and this is going to blow our morning to only one coaster. Does anybody have a link to them scratching WT and putting in Mantis on the line up card?

The bad part is that I have to wait for my son to get off school before I can head out. We'll get out to our hotel around midnight, and 1pm. I can handle having less sleep for ERT. Nothing beats that. What are the crowds typically like for this event? It will be my first time attending it.

The problem is not the normal crowd, its the coaster nutz that pack the park.
