CoasterBuzzCon 2004 at SFGAm: READ THIS!

Thanks to everyone that signed up for CBCon this Saturday. Here are a few things to note:
  • There is no on-site registration. Don't show up if you aren't registered.
  • Pick up tickets from 8 to 8:30 a.m. at the main gate. There will be a table or something there, and we'll likely be the only people there.
  • Bring a photo ID to claim your tickets.
  • You'll get an envelope with meal tickets for each person in your party plus admission tickets if you required them (otherwise, have your season pass). Name tags (required for event perks) and an itinerary will be included.
  • Participants in the parade to ride the trolley are limited to 40 (out of 140) in our party. I'll have tickets. First tickets go to families with children, first come, first serve during the pick up period. After that, I'll randomly give them to people during the ERT.
  • ERT is 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Raging Bull and Viper. Don't be late.
  • If you are late we'll make fun of you, but your tickets will be at guest relations.
  • Early entry into the magic show will (1:15) will be 20 minutes prior, starting at 12:55. Go to the season pass entry for this preferred seating. Don't be late!

Everything else that's important will be on your itinerary. See you then!

How will ERT work? will we be able to go from one coaster to another or will we have 45 mins. on bull then 45 mins. on viper?

I'm pretty sure the plan is to have them both open at the same time, but I'm not sure.

Don't forget that Raging Bull and Viper are (relatively) close to each other, so having both open for free range riding should work out well.

Wish I was going. Oh well, see everyone at BeastBuzz!

Cool beans Jeff, thanks for the info, we will see you Saturday with the rest of the fellow Coasterbuzzers. Also, are we required to keep the nametags on the whole day or is it just for the ERT?

Let's shoot us some deer Joe Joe!!!!

also...are the nametags more durable than the ones the past two years?

and are they going to have our screen names on them so we know who everyone is unlike last year? ;)

Certain victory.

The tags only need to get you through the magic show. They're the same stickers, and I think Steph will put names on them.

For Beastbuzz, I seem to recall (at least at the FIRST Beastbuzz) my sticker had both my screen name and my given name. That's how Kara, et al, recognized the lone me at Top Gun.

I sure wish I could have afforded Coasterbuzz con...but hopefully I'll see everyone at Beastbuzz.

The sticker's didn't last through the ERT last year for many of us...
My nametag surely did not for some reason....... *** Edited 5/20/2004 5:05:39 AM UTC by lumpy72***

In addition to your city/state, the name tags will have your CoasterBuzz alias on them. If you don't have one, then it will be your first name.

Sorry about the stickers, but using those instead of "fancier" name tags keeps the overall price down.

Jeff, just a note about the parade float.. For the SFGAm season pass books they passed out, there are coupons for us people who have SFGAm passes to jump on the parade float thoughout the year. Although this is not the Coasterbuzz float, we do have the opportunity to ride the float whenever unlike someone from out of state.

I can stop at Office Depot before the event and pick up some of those clear plastic name badge holders that have a pin on them. Sarah Jackson did that last year for the event and gave them to a few people including myself and it worked out really well. We just stuck the sticker on it and it held up the entire day without a problem. In fact, mine is still hanging here at work. I'll try to show up early to drop them off at the registration table. Consider them a donation to the club :)

Oh and I concur with the float thing. All of us with Great America passes should be exempted from getting the random tix. I can ride the float any time I want.

Certain victory.

I think the Season Pass coupon for the float/trolley is for the nighttime summer parade, beginning in June. I'm guessing the trolley for CoasterBuzz this weekend will be a part of the Mardi Gras parade(not included in Season Pass book)?

I think he's right... the way I understand it, this isn't the same thing. I'm personally not interested myself, but again, we'll give preference to families/kids first.

There will be 2 parades that day. They are during the Day. The people in the Trolley get to throw beads. Last week I saw they were asking for volunteers to go on the Trolley.
