CoasterBuzz was launched on January 30, 2000, and has since been visited millions of times by roller coaster enthusiasts from around the world. Here's a brief look at its evolution.
Visit the CoasterBuzz X page.
I realized while writing that up that you largely became involved because of the games site, and here you still are even after it's long gone. I do wish I could find a screenshot of that site. I'm not entirely sure where the bits are now, or if I could get it to run.

Yeah. I was here for a while before that and posted some, but the RCT stuff was where it really took off. I don't actually enjoy roller coasters, I dig sim games. I just don't have anywhere else to go. ;)
Man, those were fun times though. Lots of great RCT players used the games sites - I dare say some of the best RCT2 players around could be found at CoasterBuzz Games in it's heyday.
Wow, I remember coming on here just after your site launched with my screen name being my actual name, got dropped by you Jeff :), asked for a second chance, became a mod and the rest is history.
Can't believe I have been here since the beginning. What a decade of a ride.
Here is to another decade of coaster enthusiast memories. Thanks Jeff!!!!
My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.
CoasterBuzz was the only reason that I started getting online back in December of 2000, when I was living in Orlando, and it has been a very large part of my life ever since. The coaster discussion held my interests while I learned and gained experience about other things other than coasters, leading me to where I am now in life, and for that, I am truly grateful.
HAPPY TENTH BIRTHDAY, COASTERBUZZ!

It's cool to see the previous site versions after getting used to this one. I remember version 1, although I didn't join until early 2002 after version 2 was launched. Been a Club member that long, too.
Can't believe it's already been 10 years. Looking forward to the next 10...

I remember when I first visited C-Buzz I was "incognegro" for a couple years. Back then it was Thrillride, Badnitrus, Joyride and Coasterbuzz that ruled the roost. Now I guess the best player is left standing :-)
Bob still has Thrillride out there, though at some point I recall him announcing he'd shut it down, summer 2001. Ultimate Rollercoaster was also around, and predates us by a couple of years. There was the actual rollercoaster.com, which the owner sold to a spammer, unfortunately. Little secret... I actually offered him $10k for that domain around the time I scored $100k for selling popworld.com to the Brit-pop promoters (another site now defunct).
Funny how "Badnitrus" is now the de facto standard in the industry if you want your unbuilt ride animated. Well done, Keith!

I remember rollercoaster.com. Back then I was into reading ride reviews and such so that I could plan my trips to new parks. When that started to die I branched out to thrillride.com and ultimaterollercoaster.com and heard about this place from the tussle with thrillride over who was the biggest coaster site.
Tussle? That was mostly one-sided. I learned early on that size was less critical than quality of conversation (which we've struggled with).

Wow, that's an awesome look back over the years. Congratulations on the success of CoasterBuzz! You've got a good thing going here. :)

Congratulations on ten years Jeff!
I was just beginning to embrace my inner coaster geek around the time CB was born, and discovering CB only fed my burgeoning obsession.
Here's to many, many more years of geekiness!
Every site struggles with the quality issue. Though I think it is safe to say that this site has done better than most.

How many years is 10 years in internet years? Was trying to remember how many years ago editorials stopped around here. Considering parks aren't open year round in chunks of the country, the conversation survives the off season pretty well.
