So many coasters, so little vacation time....

Is it really that hard to right-click on the window and click close? The pop-ups on this site are small and not very distracting. Do you complain when you have to watch commercials on TV?

Do you complain when to see previews before a movie? Do you complain about the amount of billboards on the side of a road? Do you complain about commercials on tv? Get used to it and quit b**ching, this is a business like any other.
You never saw 12 pop-ups because I don't run that many campaigns. Generally I won't allow more than three, which means that by the time you click from the home page to your first topic, you've seen all the pop-ups you'll see unless you launch a new browser.
As has been said over and over... this site doesn't pay for itself. Deal with the ads, join the club, or just go away. Honestly, my wife and I can't see a movie for $20 with refreshments, and that lasts two hours. If $20 for a year of what you get here isn't worth it, I have to question your sense of value.
And if you need to see the math again regarding expenses...

Oh no, an advertisement for free condoms! We wouldn't want our eyes exposed to something that helps prevents STD's!
Come on, its not like its an ad for porn.

Anyway...
Bandwidth is expensive, folks. By clicking on the ads, you're doing your part to keep this site online. If you don't think it takes a big chunk of change to host a popular website, go ahead and try it yourself. I didn't have ads at PKIGuide.com for the first year, but now I have to. Otherwise it would go away. And I don't get within a fraction of the hits this site does.
If you really like the site, try clicking THROUGH the ads every once in a while. Some of these ad campains pay by the click.

Teemu,
Maybe because ESPN is part of a large commercial enterprise (Disney) and in the hundreds of millions of dollars they have in their budgets, they allocate money to pay for their bandwidth.
Last time I checked, Jeff is not a multi-billion dollar company, so he has to make concessions as to how he can support this site. If running ads that cause pop-up to appear is so bad, drop $20 in the mail and join the club.
Some people make $20 seem like sooooooo much money. Here's an idea...every day you visit coasterbuzz, put a quarter in a bank. When you have come to the site on eighty different days (dealing with those mean and nasty pop-ups), you will have $20 to send for your membership. Or, here's another calculation - have one less can of soda a day (I'm talking vending machines here), at 65 cents a can, you'd have the $20 in 31 days....
