Coasterbuzz policy on Defunct Coasters?

Does coasterbuzz want us to submit defunct coasters to the coasterbuzz database? My personal opinion is that we should be able to because people could have rode them and it educates us young ones about the older coasters.
I submitted a bunch of coaster a while ago that were at Old Canadien Parks and ohio parks. Did they get lost, rejectd, or haven't been looked at yet? Thanks Jeff, and all who make Coasterbuzz possible.

Have no fear. Your defunct coasters are still pending approval. With the coming of the riding season and being busy at work, db approvals have taken a bit of a back seat. I hope to have them done in the next few weeks.

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many!

Everyone should thank Scott for taking the time to look at these, because he isn't getting paid, and it's kind of tedious work.

Now if I'd just get on those reviews...

Thanks a bunch Scott and Jeff. I understand the wait. I don't care how long it takes I just wanted to make sure that it is ok to submit defunct coasters and that they weren't lost in a computer crash or something like that. Once again I live on Coasterbuzz and you guys do a great job!

While the topic has been brought up, there are a few things I want to remind those of you contributing parks and coasters

1) Please don't confuse the DB contribution with your personal track record. I just looked at the pending list and saw some entries for Kennywood and Millennium Force. If your unsure about a park being in the DB, please check first.

2) Drop rides are not coasters. Don't contribute them.

3) If you're submitting defunct parks and rides that have been long gone, please put a URL or reference to aid in verification. Now that the easy-to-prove entries are in, most of the pending entries are rare and hard to find. A little help would be nice.

4) To reiterate the point, the DB will not contain multiple entries for a moved ride. We only list the current location. If a ride has moved, I tried to have the former locations listed in the comments field. Unfortunately we can't search by comment. Maybe that could be added to the infamous "to do" list?

Here is where I found some of the old Canadien Coasters:

Here is where I found the Puritas Cyclone:

For Buckeye Lake:

For Waldameer, I actually e-mailed the park owner and got a reply, if you want me to forward the e-mail I could

And for the Crystsl Beach Cyclone I consider it a differant coaster from the Comet@GE. Differant Layout, designer, etc.

Just out of curiousity, are there still coasters waiting for approval? I submitted a few a while ago (at least a month) and they still haven't shown up. I have submitted a bunch of coasters over the past year and it's never taken this long before. Not trying to rush anybody, I just want to make sure they didn't get lost in the shuffle. Thanks!

Yes, they're there. I think Scott is out doubling his coaster count this year. ;)

Jeff's right. I've been gone for the last week at Coaster Con. Taking care of the pending coasters/parks is just one thing on my endless to-do list.
