For those of you that can make it, we'll be recording the CoasterBuzz Podcast live at Cedar Point's Red Garter Saloon this Sunday, October 30, at noon, with special guest (or host?), Cedar Fair CEO and President Dick Kinzel. If you'll be at the park, you're welcome to attend the recording! *** Edited 10/25/2005 7:15:18 PM UTC by Jeff***

Will this Podcast be available on audio cassette, CD, or LP? Otherwise I won't be able to listen to it.

Just kidding, I'll be there ;)

That's pretty bad arse that you are talking to the main man of Cedar Fair. So when are you talking to Burke from Six Flags? ;)

I'm sure his attorney tells him not to talk to anyone, anywhere.

Will you be doing a video version like at Holiday World?

Certain victory.

This is awesome! I wish I could be there..

"Life's What You Make It, So Let's Make It Rock!"
First off, Yay! And this is why I listen to BuzzPod and not the others.

Second, you are going to ask him about the rumors of his 'going out with a bang', just to put that to rest, right Jeff? Right? ;)

And he'll give the non-comittal "Well, we haven't made any announcements yet, and as always we'll do whatever we feel makes sense for the park and the company." :)

Although I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask.. and you could ask him about the SF thing too.

"Life's What You Make It, So Let's Make It Rock!"
I think a reasonable question to ask would be if he can confirm the quote that everyone is attributing to him (but unable to cite a soucre) that he's going to "go out with a bang." Just ask if he ever said it. That's not asking about future plans.

Jeff,

Will there be audience participation during the Podcast or will it be a gawkfest? Just curious :)

I find it funny, I've met Mr. Kinzel a few times and I don't think much of it anymore. Incredibly nice guy! Yet my wife reacted to seeing him like a child does when they first see Santa Claus.

No, there won't be audience participation, and no, I'm not going to ask him any stupid questions. Remember, this guy heads a public company. Things he says could affect the stock price, and he's not going to tell you anything that the PR folks aren't ready to release.

Rob, your wife pee'd on Mr. Kinzel's leg?
Well it's official, I'm never having kids ...

You should provide lunch, you'd get more people (also, since I'll be at the park, I'd like some free food!) ;)

So, in other words, you won't talk about anything people don't already know.

If you honestly think that the guy is that one dimensional, then by all means, don't come.

onceler,

Friggin hilarious!

She gets bashful and all that but there's no peeing I promise :)

I'll be entertained enough just listening to Kinzel answer your questions. He is certainly not a mono-tone, one dimensional guy that's for sure.

Wait you mean you're not going to ask his shoe size? Then I'm not going! ;)

~Rob Willi

Jeff -

He's one dimensional? OMG! You mean, like Mario? Thats far out... ;)

Seriously, even if you don't ask him any questions regarding future plans, at least make sure he knows (as if he doesn't already) that there are droves of us who think he's the bee's knees.

Just teasing you Jeff :) But don't worry, I won't be there.
Bob "Kick The Sky" Hansen asked:

Jeff doesn't know. I haven't told him yet. :)

Jeff: I will, of course be in the park that day. For the moment I'll plan on attending the podcast. No guarantee as to which camera I'll have, and I have never tried connecting a line feed to my TRV-80 yet, so it may be more experimental-like than the Holiday World one was.

Actually, dj... Mario is 2D. Nice try, though.
