Coasterbuzz Passwords sent Unencrypted

I just noticed that I changed my password and it was sent back to me in an email unencrypted. I wanted to mention to anyone listening that if they changed their password to something they use for other reasons like online banking, that it is a little unsecure and there is the tiniest possibility that the password could get intercepted. Just a reminder to use different passwords on different sites.

At least it's better than a site I visited yesterday...

There is NOTHING of ANY commercial significance WHATSOEVER which requires a user ID and password on the site I visited yesterday. And yet, before the site would allow me access to one article (which, once placed in the sites archive in a few days, will be available without registration) it required me not only to divulge all kinds of lies about myself, but also to choose a username and password...and it took me four tries before it accepted the password, because it has very specific rules to try and get people to pick "strong" passwords.

Guess what: I don't want a "strong" password on a site like that (or like this, for that matter). I want a password that I can remember!

Worst of all: I went there to read an article about website useability!

That's life; Its kinda like running out of gas on your way to the gas station. Well, not really... ;)
