CoasterBuzz Games now requires club membership

I'm not mad or anything, BUT...Consider the following as a conflict, not as a negative remark.

How many of the so-called "Spammers" will simply pay the twenty dollars and start like they did all over again? I mean it won't tke most of them long to figure out how to be re-administered, and then you start with the same problem you just are ending. IMO, there is no difference in wether you charge or not expect in the cost of bandwidth.

Next, most of the peeps the uploaded stuff were from the general community. Now that you charge for it, many of them will not continue, and you will start to have less and less uploads and soon enough, you will only be uploading and downloading from the people who signed up. If you ask me, most people like to stick to a certian type of ride/park or style to make. So you would basically be downloading fomr the same people all the time. And many of them do the same thing or do the same type of idea every time he/she creates something.

Once again, this is what I think and I am not making negative remarks and this is what might happen due to my knowledge.

The difference is that this time, they're paying. If they continue to spam and get banned for it, that's 20 bucks down the drain. I don't know about you, but if I paid 20 bucks for the service, I'd be trying pretty hard to make sure it didn't go to waste because I was an idiot.

Because hosting a site isn't free and the mods don't have time to waste kicking all of the 13 year old AOLers off the site. Makes sense to me.

I'm a thirteen year old AOLer. ;) Acutually, I'm thirteen and a half.

Next time you're near Kennywood, hit up Mad Mex. Not one of their few sattelite locations, either. The original Oakland area restaurant. I've never had Mexican that good, that spicy, that authentic, that diverse.

I haven't been to Chipolte, but if I had to pick a chain I guess I'd go with Don Pablos, just for the chile rellenos if nothing else.

Being owned by McDonald's doesn't automatically make something suck. If you're talkin' fast food, there's not much tastier than Boston Market.

Man, I'm hungry.

What were we talking about again?

The best thing about Chipotle... On the napkins, it gives visual instructions on how to eat a burrito. Fascinating.

Only two things I don't like about the place: Their guacamole isn't top quality; and it hurts my wallet a bit more than other fast food.

Mmmm, the original Mad Max. Go late at night, and if you go to a college, bring your student ID for half off your entree (I THINK they still do that).

I also like Cozumel, over in Shadyside.

Agreed that Don Pablos is pretty good in the chain department.

Mad Mex has damn good margaritas, too. Dangit, now *I'm* hungry...

Chipotle is alright. Nothing great though.

Seriously, if you have frequented privately owned authentic Mexican restaurants that serve the big burritos, Chipotle is just average at best.

Oh, back to the topic. Pay the $20 and shut up. ;)

Arena football has arrived in the Windy City. Go "Chicago Rush"

haha...AvalancheSam, I just graduated from Case this spring, obviously you didn't read the three page explanation on the web site on how changing the name from CWRU to Case will make it the best college in the world (and get me a job anywhere I want). :P

But I'm off topic here...so what's up with the metal/industrial motif in Chipotle's restaurants? Is it supposed to look like an authentic Mexican burrito factory or something?

Go Jeff! I'm glad that it's now a members only site. Yes, I feel for all those good guys that aren't memebers(yet, hey even poor ole me could send him $20), A while back there was a thread about what more would we like to see for the club, this is the icing on the cake for me:)

Go Jeff!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh! That's three straight topics I've seen you post the same cry baby nonsense. Get a life, please!

Chipotle is about being trendy yet basic. The fact that they serve burritos doesn't really matter, other than it's trendy food. The deco is pretty cheap when it comes down to it. Concrete floor, conduit with cheap ceramic light fixtures on the end, regular pipe for stools... all pretty basic stuff.

What makes it so brilliant is that it's high quality and yet simple. You know how easy your supply chain is to manage when you have all of 12 ingredients to your food? It tastes good, it's above average, moderately priced and trendy. If they were franchising right now I'd open one in front of every college I could find.

You know what's funny? I eat at the Chipotle in downtown Chicago a lot because it's close to my work, and every time I think to myself that I know better and that I should be eating some 'real burritos' instead.

But you know what else? That sh*t is good, fresh, and fast, and that's all that really matters to me when I'm grabbing some lunch. :)

Now if there were only a Baja Fresh downtown...

Chipotle....yummy. :-)

Den, where is this Baja Fresh in the Cinci area? Sounds awesome. :-)

Jeff can do what he wants with his site. Heck, I would not be surprised if he makes it a "paid-members only" site, which would mean that anybody can read anything but they need to be a paid member to reply/post messages.

I think it would weed out a lot of the trolling and idiots out there.

Which reminds me, I need to renew. :-) Yikes. lol

Maybe I'm being dense here, but....

aren't there other places to trade RCT stuff anyways? I mean, for free? Personally, I would gladly pay the $20 here if I was really into RCT and stuff, but can't the whiners just go somewhere else if they really can't afford it? (not that I'm endorsing that or anything.)

On another note, there's a place called Baja Cafe in Canton, CT which is farkin' incredible, probably the best Mexican anything I've ever had (and I've had a lot.) Incredible burritos....and its in the middle of no where in Connecticut behind a gas station. If anybody is up in the area for the Lake or SFNE, and you're in the mood for a nice little drive, I highly recommend it. Its incredible.

Other recomendations for cheap, fast Mexican would be Vera Cruz in Southampton, Mass, and Burrito Art in Atlanta, near Emory University. Incredible stuff.

InfernoMax: You miss the point. I'd add that we have a dozen members in the UK (including a new one this week) and one each in Australia and Germany. Perhaps you also missed the point that only 50 out of the 400 or so members actually attended a CB event, and could have attended them anyway by paying a couple of extra dollars for the non-member price.

Clearly the majority of club members see it as something other than events.

For the last time, you do NOT have to pay to download.

What's the big deal about $20? That's just over the cost of a CD and young people buy those all the time.

Oh, wait ... never mind.

I'll tell you what, Inferno. I don't have Jeff's authorization, so I hope he's cool with this. I feel bad that you can't attend any of the events, but I'll make you a deal. I'll see to it that Jeff gives you access to the games site for the super low price of only $1.67 US per month if you pay for a year in advance. Now, understand that you won't be able to attend any events and you'll still have to put up with the ads, but you will be able to have full access to the games site for less than half of a McDonald's value meal per month.

Hurry! This offer won't last long.
